Well ridden LB. I think you were 4th and I was 7th. The heat was just too much for me. and I had no time to try and cool the place down. I was near collapsing by the end.:heat:

Thanks and likewise.
I think we were faster - 2nd and 5th.
BTW, we are both in top 10 of any time, any age and any place.

Just got my bkool pro recently. Does anyone else see the cadence jumping around all over the place.
Just don't seem right. I've got the ant+ on a usb extension cable right next to the bkool unit. Also how do I know if the firmware is up to date, in the software when I go to setting and then about bkool it says v2.32. Is this upto date. Hope you can help thanks

Mine does the same thing. Cadence is usually way to high, but it doesn't seem to mess up speed and watt calculation. Although it is generally to generous with speed and watt, it is fairly consistant, and that is the most important thing.

I think there are different versions of the BKool Pro, some require the latest firmware update, others do not. It should handle that automatically when you start the simulator program, whith the brake unit connected.

I concur with the above.

LB does however seem to have a higher actual cadence (assuming equal gearing) at any given point on the race track compared to myself. No matter how many times I try the same course where he last beat me, I don't seem to be able to make that change.

Hope they are working on it. Does need tweaking a bit. But they did seem surprised when I told them about my problem and that I had seen others with same problems on many forums. They said if I know of others then get them to email them with problem. So I guess the more complaints they get then the more chance of them fixing it.

Guys some of you may receive an invite for this - if you dont then click the link below if you want to join in Bkools first attempt at a league.

____________________________

Bkoolers, welcome to our latest summer challenge - the Bkool Summer Cup! This is an exciting competition that will unite Bkoolers from all over the world starting Thursday 16th July!

The way this challenge will be held is through the Bkool League called “Bkool Summer Cup”. The only requirement to be considered in the competition is that you ride at least 2 INDOOR sessions per week. The routes will be chosen by us and uploaded into the league - you just have to ride them as hard as possible to get the best time and the most points! You can ride the two routes as many times as you wish during the week, we recommend this so that you have a benchmark time to beat!

To join the league and view the weekly routes, please click here:http://www.bkool.com/group/joinGroupRequest/98670

On Sunday 15th of September, we will be naming the The Bkool Summer Cup champion. The person with the most points in the league will be awarded with 3 months premium membership, an official Bkool cycling jersey and the opportunity to hold an event taking on the Bkool Summer Cup champion!

But there isn't just one prize up for grabs, we will also be holding different raffles and giving away many prizes during the Bkool Summer Cup - how do you enter? Simple, start and finish the 2 sessions from the league during the week and you’ll automatically be entered into the draw.

In this group, we will publish updates of different classification and other interesting information about the competitions such as the rankings, routes and raffles. In addition to this, you can also use this group to exchange messages, opinions and suggestions.

Join the Bkool Summer Cup today and make the most of this summer on your trainer!

I seem to be struggling with getting any grip from my rear tyre whilst on the Bkool, if I try and stand up the wheel just spins, thinking about getting a turbo specific tyre but not sure which one or can anyone recommend an alternative solution.

I didn't used to have a problem with slippage, but I guess as the watts have increased I'm now overcoming the tyre friction! I have a 23 race tyre on my old bike which is quite grippy but just isn't doing the trick these days. A 25 width tyre would help no doubt. Maybe decreasing the pressure a bit too.

No idea if a turbo tyre would help sorry!

Monte, I bought a turbo specific tyre (cant remember which one and its hidden away in my loft) but I quickly took it off the bike as I much prefer my cheap continental ultra sport 23. It grips better and feels better and its been on my bike for about 1500 miles and not worn out yet. I do think there's some luck in getting a good compound though, as I think someone bought one and it disintegrated fairly quickly. He was making a lot more power than me though.
