Signed up and got premium RGT but having trouble starting a ride. Phone and pc on same WiFi but just says waiting.. what am I missing?

Not sure the premium is worth it unless you want to create lots of routes rather than ride in the myriad of events others create. Btw you would have loved the group ride i did yesterday, lots of levels, chat among the easier groups as they rode. I'll send you they link tomorrow.
I have found that I need to start the app on my phone, select the event or ride and then start the app on the laptop.
Also check that the trainer is connected by clicking on the power icon in the phone app.
Hope this helps, looks like a good app with lots of social channels.

Make sure you are logged out of all other riding bits like bkool Zwift etc - even try manually unpairing bt things and letting RGT find all things new

Hello everyone, sorry not been on for ages so a belated merry Christmas and all the best for the upcoming new year. Let's hope things improve the world over. Can't be any worse can it ?
Feeling a bit lost without my neo now. It's been gone a couple of weeks. Had a brief chat with Garmin who said it's looking mid January before I get a replacement so that's a bit of a bummer.
I did have a look on line at the problems I had with mine and it seems like a issue that come sup a bit so let's hope it is fixed on the replacement when I get it.
I have looked into the wahoo alternative, but that seems to have quite a few problems with bearings as well and apparently customer support isn't up there with Garmin's.
Anyway I will hopefully soon be back on it. Just had a brief look at RGT and that looks quite good, but do feel mean quitting bkool as I do enjoy their aim.

Anyway thats enough waffle for now. All the best to everyone.

Hi Mark, hope the Neo comes quick.
Yes it does feel like a bit guilty looking at alternatives, but RGT being virtually free and Bkool being pretty good value anyway doesn't mean we cant still use both, who knows maybe some of these apps that want to survive will start to merge, that often happens in a tough market.

We are still investigating and learning the ins and outs of it but it seems like a user driven zwift which you can use for free if you are prepared to ride events (races, stage races, social rides) that others create and a limited number of rides. It's all 3D but the graphics are good. I'll write a full report when we have a clearer idea.

Question for those in the frozen northern wastes. How cold does it have to be in the cave before you can do away with the fan? It's about 2º in the garage at the moment and the cold air from the fan though it dries the sweat is not pleasant!

I usually have the fan on from the start but often have a jumper on during warm up and - as I was saying to the RGT guys earlier - have been known to forget until after the real start.

My garage was a reasonable 12deg and I hit the fan remote after about ten mins of cycling, somewhere on that 1st climb.

Here's the vid of our RGT ride for those who haven't seen RGT yet, Youtube compression doesn't do the graphics justice. Fixed camera angles till 35mins then I remembered it had options, I played with a couple then set it to the 'auto' option so from that tunnel onwards it's making the decisions.
