I have been trying to figure out this myself. I think that as basic rules, group names are not visible to yourself, while others only se your group name if they belong to a group that you also belong to.
To make it even stranger, if I use the "old guy" ( veteran 2) filter on the ranking it lists you as a goat but on absolute it lists you as chain gang.

Sounds dodgy to be honest. Power readings do jump about a bit but average out OK, but if you're experiencing the resistance fluctuating it sounds faulty to me. Never had that problem.

I'm hoping not. Its the resistance that throws me, if I start off pedalling at a steady cadence no great power, but then try upping the pace it just sends it into meltdown with the resistance unit while cadence and HRM are fine, this only happened since I upgraded the firmware for the unit

Looks like Bkool will have to try and sort your last upgrade for you if it was ok beforehand. (not sure how they do that though!) Sorry I cant be any help.

Bkool Summer cup heads up. On the tour S18 2015 ride, save something for the last mile. The hill is steeper than it looks.

And if you have a big front chain ring put it on.

Randy, I see you managed almost 4mph faster than me. Must see if I can gear up a bit for rides like this.

Yeah, spinning out far too easily on my bike which is a standard compact. Think the cassette is a 11-27.
A triple at the front would be ideal for bkool.

Any change of gearing means a reasonable cash outlay so I guess I'll have to tolerate it.

Same for me but I use an 11-25. I am wondering if I can just buy a larger front ring like a 56 or something and perhaps only have to make a slight adjustment to the front changer to make it fit. It's becoming clearer every ride these days that this could be very useful except mountain goat league rides.

Next in the league Titch Hill looks nice and flattish. I'm thinking on waiting for one of these quick guys to do it then try to get a draft most of the way. I know, much easier said than done. Might have to target Pinnilla as he's just handed my ass to me on the Tour de France 2015 S18.

56 chainring has different bolt spacings to a compact I thought. Didn't think it could bolt straight on to a compact, though would be happy to be proved wrong!

Also had the idea of trying to draft someone but it's definitely not easy done. This fella Pinilla has done a massive leap in form since about a month ago if he's beating your times Bill

I'm sure you're correct on both counts Rick. I'm not so knowledgeable about the road parts as its very different from the mountain biking stuff that I'm used to.

Edit: Tomorrow evening should be good for catching a draft

I rode Alp D'uez last night and will ride mountain stages for the next 3 nights and also tuesday to friday next week in preparation for my Alps trip soon. Anyone is welcome to join me:okay: Thinking about changing my 28 for a 32 and there's you lot trying to turn a higher gear, albeit on the flat:notworthy:
Frustratingly i missed out by less than 1 watt on moving up to active 3 despite bettering my previous time by several minutes:ohmy:

Very jealous of your trip. Make sure you give us a full report when you get back from it. Be interesting to see how the bkool helps to prepare you for something like that.

Is there an event planned tomorrow?

Btw, compact has smaller diameter between bolts (110 mm vs normal 130 mm), to enable a smaller inner chainring, e.g 34. The biggest compact chainring I have seen is 52.

Thanks for the info Lars. I Better go and measure up to see if my bkool bike is a compact or a double before I make any purchases.
Funnily enough I was sure that bkool were running Tour de France 2015 S18 at 5pm UK time tomorrow but now I can't find it on the facebook page. Do you know if this is the case Rick?
