My fastest outdoor speed is 48,5mph (78km/h). I had DeRosa King Xlight those days and it was about 2010ish. I was in a place where was 2 steep slopes 10° and 12°. There was a traffic signs for that, probably meant to trucks.

When
I hit 25mph I get nervous. You really are a small rock away from disaster.

For some reason I couldn’t add astonished face. It only let me add “like. “
I do NOT like going even half that fast.

@berty bassett
2 flats? What tires are you running?

Flat ones !! Rookie mistake , I was so cold first time that I cut corners and didn’t check the inside of tyre - tiny piece of metal sticking through so flat again within 5 mile , I can’t grumble as I think first pictures all year continental 5000s - I know tubeless would have survived but sometimes tubeless are more hassle to fix - just personal preference what backfired this time - twice !

On Friday the 26th the handicap race will start at 6pm UK time. I will start and the table below will have your start times. I doubt anyone will catch me, but if you do feel free to grab onto my wheel.
@Breedon you can thank @Goldwolfie for your adjusted time.

Do we all need to start at 6 pm and sit on the start line until our start time, or can we join the ride just in advance of our start time, then get going on our start time, or is there a better way to do it?

I'm not sure but I think we need to wait on a starting line and watch the clock. Randy mentioned earlier if I catch him he try to stay with me, my start is 5mins later than Randy's.

I think it is easier if you wait on the start line so that you can reasonably accurately go on the appropriate elapsed time. Not that it matters that much if you’re 10-15 seconds out.
These used to be such good fun, although I was fitter when I used to enjoy them.
Looking forward to it never the less.
Going to exercise chocolate and mince pie abstinence from about 2 p.m. alcohol from about 4 p.m..

I think k you guys should grab a cup of coffee and watch the Boxing day parade on TV and kind of keep an eye on the clock, but don't be obsessive. Its like the tortoise and the hare. Catch Berlin? Plenty of time.

There was some loose talk earlier about @berty bassett getting a big breakfast going. Smart move.

I think my handicap was a bit ambitious. 😂
Had to ease up at the end before I blew a gasket.
Good fun though, be good to try again with revised handicaps.
Pity you can’t stay warmed up on the line without starting. I tried unplugging my turbo to disconnect it so I could warm up, but even when disconnected it transmits power.
