Hazie. I suggest you get the refund and buy direct. My new one direct from bkool is smooth and has the latest firmware. Seems to be no problem with it at all. It did cost me about £60 more than from wiggle but I can't complain considering the use I had for most of the past year.

My only concern with Dealing direct is dealing with bkool themselves. I don't think they have a very good customer service and I'm concerned that if I have a problem in the future, It could be torture.
Might just order another from wiggle, atleast that way, I know I'll get decent after sales care. And just take the risk that it will be from a good batch.

I did the same for the first faulty one but the one I got back was worse.

bkool do have a cr4p customer service but they do always seem to get there in the end.

Well I know you di it because a couple of my guys escorted you away at the start. Then my third guy tried to race you up there but after 30 mins you were so far ahead he decided to call it a day ;).
I did notice someone joining the race, but my eyes were glued to the watts. I was concentrating so hard on finding a ride style that wouldn't make me loose watts when out of the sadle, that I didn't notice the name.
You have some competition though I think as I saw another green rider heading up there this evening ;)

Yes...to have the audacity to join a mountain goat league with that weight - Very rude ^_^.

Hi again Bill , my first try at the Alpe D`Huez still hadn`t shown up on my history or on the
league standings so I attempted a second go earlier this evening and luckily for me this time
its showing on both my history and the Mountain Goat League and I also managed to do
a faster time so all good now, thanks for the offer of doing a dummy run but no need now,
still not sure what happened to my first attempt tho

Not sue if anyone has already replied to this so sorry if I'm repeating someone else. Bill has just started a monthly league of hill climbs. Great way to build the leg strength! Just look up 'cycle chat mountain goats' on bkool and ask to join.
That's precisely why it caught my interest. There's just something about grinding up a big hill that I've always found appealing. The local favorite is Little Cottonwood Canyon up past Alta Ski resort. I'll do a video at some point, but for now here's the gps/3d version:

8.4 miles, ~3300ft of climbing, minimal shade. I've probably done that climb a hundred times or more in real life.

HOw do you change your username on here... to reduce Bkool confusion?
I did that a while back - originally was called Blueface on here but RickB on Bkool. I had to request the change from the admins and they were happy to comply as long as I kept reference to Blueface under my avatar.

Found this under the rules and guidelines: (cant remember how I got hold of the admin though!

Just looked at the current standings after 8 of us have tried it. Rob H and I are practically the same time but I had to do just shy of 100 watts more to match him!!! I've no chance :surrender::banghead:

Thats me, the wattage active level thing is bollocks:cursing:

im looking forward for the next few that suit my riding, thinkill use my power meter and not the BK one
The watts/kg rating system destroys me on the hills. I push a 34/32 at 60 cadence on the d'huez stage and it shows I am doing 1.6mph in blue, but the speed sensor tells my garmin I am doing 5 point something mph. At that rate the stage would take something like 4 hours or more.

When I had a go at the stage it took me 30 minutes to do 1.6 miles @ 200 watts avg. :surrender:

I am slowly losing weight. But not quick enough for bkool :blush:

Winter League Top 100 (ish) has now been published for an October start running right through until the end of March

http://www.bkool.com/classification/showIndividualLeagueClassification/1308
There are 60 stages on the league all with similar starts and all ending in March...ive tried stages for different riding types... others for fun.....

1. Some stages have more than one top 100 climb
2. Some stages may be hill repeats:rofl:
3. Some Stages may involve a ride to the foot of the climb and maybe over the top
4. You can have as many goes as you want.
5. Some are long.... some are short
6. E-Bikes will be disqualified

Welcome to your happy place .... :hello:

Any errors let me know and i will do my best to edit

Was a 12 month subscription included in the cost Direct from bkool Bill?

Hi Hazie. As with wiggle the 12 month subscription was not included in the deal I got with bkool. I already had the subscription so I had to buy without it. You do get a better deal with the subscription though.

Looks like you'll just have to try harder Lars, just as I have to these days.

What I was referring to earlier was that you had challenged my ride and I had already challenged myself so you ended up with both my ghosts. I then challenged your ride so there was three of me + you on that last ride of mine.
One of these days we'll have to see how many ghosts we can accumulate on a league ride by everyone challenging the last rider to do the stage
