On your bkool home page if you click on "challenge" under the ride you've done that should work, or if you find the ride in a league result you can challenge it from there. I don't think you can challenge from the ride rankings where your overall position will show.
Thanks will check it out tomorrow :-)

I try to keep the cadence high, so drop down the gears accordingly. Seems to work for me anyway. Too high a gear and I burn out very quickly.
That was always my approach on the mountain bike. Even with a triple I can't hit the cadences I want when climbing on my road bike.

Think I might have a go at City Creek Canyon later ... get the ride to count in both Goat and Moose leagues  @JLaw thinks 35 mins for a Moose might be achievable, so might even go for a second ride afterwards xx(
City Creek is a great ride. Anything in the mid to low 30s is going to be a good moose pace. I set that ride up a bit different from real life, so I had to adjust expectations slightly. Essentially you don't have to navigate a gate and all the runners, probably about balances out in the end.

It's too bad you don't get the Creek or the real trees in the simulator. Its really a beautiful ride. And no cars!

3 weeks of relative inactivity apart from the odd intense ride has seen my weight rocket from 70ish to 77kilos:sad: methinks I am still eating as if I am riding a lot...

The video kept freezing but would still register me moving I found it rather frustrating and left.
Going to do it with you all as ghosts might be better.

But will give it another go with you all on Thursday.

Bob

I know that situation  When I injured my back in August, my loss of about 8 kilos reversed by about 4 kilos over the course of 4 weeks. I am going back down again, but not as quick as it went up. :cursing:

P.S. I would have 'liked' your post but it just seemed wrong to

Made a time of 34.18 so just inside your estimate - I chose the Goat ride so need to do a quick Moose ride and get the same time added there too.

It was a very hard ride and for the first time I did get off the bike and thought I was going to vom xx( Had a 5 mins break then did a flat ride I found in Thailand  Love that with BKool you can ride anywhere and see some interesting places in the world!

It's slightly concerning the amount of people that are saying they are feeling sick or light headed after the league rides. Most recommendations are if you feel unwell during excercise then it is advisable to stop. Most of the time out on my bike I haven't had any major problems except the odd bonk when I over did it. As I haven't had the chance to try the trainer properly, is there a danger of pushing too hard trying to compete with people who may be on a different level to oneself?

I suppose there's always the danger of pushing too much but I'd be pretty sure that everyone knows when their body is telling then enough's enough.
I know when I'm empty and if I feel somethings wrong I'll ease off.

Reading Chris Hoys book at the minute and they trained til they threw up.xx(

I seen him talking about that, he also said at times it felt like his heart would burst, now that's pushing yourself. I certainly won't be pushing that hard, though it is good to push your boundaries.

3D view seems to work better for live races. I only change to video when I do single person sessions.

It is the competition factor. On our own, in a session, we would probably just ease up or even stop. When you are directly competing against somebody the fangs come out and you want to beat the other person/s riding with you.

Self preservation used to be who was fastest, strongest, most agile. Now not so much. But it is hard to take a few hundred million years of evoloutionary programming and over write it with inteligent reasoning about physical abilities
