Need a new nemesis!

I think we are still nemesises Rick. I just prepared especially well for this ride:
1/ I did a special low power Mountain goat ride last night at 260 watts.
2/ I ate extra food today for the energy.
3/ I put 150 psi in my tyre

Thanks all for the kind words.

League is coming near an end so will be drawing up a new one to see us to the end of the year.

Any suggestions for flattish courses will be welcomed.
Is everyone happy to finish on another epic or is it a bridge too far for some?
Not sure if my cramp was not eating and drinking today or just don't have the distance in my legs. For a Thursday evening it is a bit long for me anyhow, as I leave home in the morning before 7, get back home at 7 and straight on the bike. Food comes afterwards .... 1 hour is all my body can do. Weekends I can plan better. I'm happy bailing though as an hour is still a good workout :okay:

I suspect it wasn't ridden as a league ride, for reasons unknown. My suggestion to everyone in that ride is to do a very short (1 minute seems to work) as a league ride. I can then adjust the league ride to match your time from the prior climb up.

I didn't prepare so well. Circuit training and mountain goat ride Tuesday and Squash on Wednesday (which kills me!)

Haven't got near you in a few rides now! :bicycle::boxing:

No kind words from me Rick. That would be like thanking a GP for an enema:tongue: too much pain and suffering! But, glutton for punishment that I am I look forward to a similar epic finish to the next league.:bicycle:.

Ps
Thanks!:hugs:

Does this work?
I reduced mine tonight?

Yes! Definitely. Especially for a fast ride like this. Much less so for a slow mountain climb. Friction against that roller is what you need to reduce unless you find it slipping on a steep uphill when you spend time out of the saddle.

Thanks for the advice. I will blow it back up and have another go on Sat - assuming I stay of the beer lunch time. As for time out of the saddle - thats still a dream.

Thanks for organising Rick - really enjoyed it and hoping to be a regular in the next league if the new trainer keeps working and I can avoid tyre blowouts like tonight!

I think the epic finish was a great idea - shame I won't have a chance to have another go at it
