Bill, got some bad news....the Double Devil is running again this year. 29th May. Same accommodation invitation applies of course. But I won't be signing up until nearer the time, see what the weather is doing first. Obviously might want to get your 24hr epic' Athlon out the way first.....
I have unfinished business on that course....

WoW! Thanks Adam! Like you say though, could be quite bad news if we do it and end up in the same state as last year. Took me 3 months before I could tie my own shoe laces again . Got tri bars now though, which I had to get just to keep going on the turbo after that crazy ride, and now find them very useful for a position change when the pain gets too much. I think I'd also not only bring my summer cycling gear again. That was a big mistake:cold:.
Next week if I want nothing to do with it just ignore me. It'll be because I'm all grumpy and sore from being on the saddle too long. At least its a lady's saddle though. Don't know why I'm the only one who seems to think it's a good idea :girldance:.

Bill I did a quick up down session today and kept the power on into the second climb.
Never seen anything like it, who said BSim tops out at 1200 watts.
Can't exactly say what I did see because I got too busy laying down the watts but looked up and over 1600 was showing as I was climbing the 6% on a 50/11.
Not saying I was doing 1600 watts which is the whole point.
Shame is I pressed the wrong button and deleted the ride.
I'll have to have a look at this again some time.

PS. Did a nice flat session today in semi-race mode:
22.3 km and it might be a good handicap ride but cetainly a good chaingang ride.

Funny thing is I got no where near that kind of watts when I hit the slope flat out. 6 or 700 was all I got when expecting more like 1000. The most I have ever seen before was 1200W. Felt like something might break and I don't mean the turbo.

I emailed Bkool about the unrealistic speed advantage for fewer watts via the on/off power style of riding we've discussed here before and they've just replied with:

"Thanks for your message. We are aware of this bug. Our software/web developers are working on it, we hope it will be fixed soon."

Just FYI - I know others were planning on emailing them to make them aware too

Lol! We will leave further discussions until after this little 'fun ride' you have this weekend, but as I say, you are absolutely welcome to come and stay with us again.
And if any other Cyclechat folk are mad enough to consider doing it, I am happy to assist with finding accommodation.
But be warned, it's not for the feint hearted. Having said that, it is 128 miles of some of the most breathtaking scenery this country has to offer. Look up The Devil's Staircase, in mid Wales for a glimpse at what the course has to offer. The Goat League is perfect training for it.

Exact same reply I got from them...but at least they're working on it.

So I've got no idea what I'm doing differently from the Goats league setup when I set up the Moose league -- regardless, when I set up the Moose ride, I've been unable to add ghosts, but I can consistently add them to a Goat league ride.

So my question is this -- shall I go ahead and turn the Moose league back on? I don't mind manually approving rides. If you want ghosts, you'll want to copy the ride so it's a non-league, add your ghosts, ride it, then ride the league ride for a minute or so.

Now I stopped coughing and feel half human again - I'm happy for the moose league to run as it was (no ghosts)...

Thanks for all your efforts in setting up the league.

I did a chaingang ride the other day. When I was in my scheduled sessions I opened the ride on the right hand side under 'See' and then edit and added ghosts that way. My sessions was auto approved.

It also allowed me to identify my session easier as I knew how many opponents I had put in.
Right. The problem is that isn't working for Moose rides. When you hit the "Edit" button you get an error page from bkool. I've got no problems at all with Goat rides where the procedure outlined several weeks ago works consistently.

I thought I'd worked this out to a difference in how the leagues are set up (create new session vs find session when creating the master ride), but I've tried both and neither result in a league ride where ghosts can be added. SIgh.

Chaingang Race tonight 7pm

Course: Sitka to north end of the road
http://www.bkool.com/classification/showIndividualStageClassification/4875

26km - Shortish flat course so well within everyone's capabilities. :bicycle::bicycle::bicycle:

Warm-up begins at 7pm for 10 minutes - look for it under the 'Live' tab between 7 and 7:10pm - if you cant see it use the advanced search at the bottom of the screen and search for 'Rickb'.

Do not start your own session from the League tab
- you must join it from the Live tab if you want to race against each other.:okay:

Remember to stop pedaling well before the end of the warm up.
