Maybe I'm wrong, but I calculated that AAAC needs to average 47,34 kph to take the league win. Right now his avg. is 48.7 and it's mostly downhill from there. I think AAAC is going to do it :bravo:.

AAAC, I was watching for a bit, the power you put down is VERY impressive. I didn't see the end but if you were booted by BKool, you have my deepest sympathy...you were obviously not holding back!

Well, that was lonely, no chance of drafting on that ride.. had to shut off and go into time trial mode :heat:

Thanks for the messages of encouragement people, but Bill.. no more funny ones about me catching AAAC (when he was already minutes in front) as i had to laugh and nearly spat High5 over my keyboard! :laugh:
Saw AAAC finish then he restarted !! Thought I'd better get a move on as I was still going up the big hill and didn't want him catching me on his second lap! :laugh:

I have to confess that this course is ideal for catching those down up power spikes I have demonstrated in a small 2km session where I was able to peak at over 1000 watts at the begining of a climb without pedaling.
If I take my power into the climb from a descent I can actually crest small climbs at unusually high power peaks before BSim actually catches up with the resistance which is probably a bit similar to the on/off technique.

My normal style of riding is kind of Time Trialy style but not with a constant effort more trying to keep my speed constant so I rest on descents with blue speeds and power into climbs and dig in on flats.
I have found that on some courses I can acheive 50kph/30mph at lower wattages than others and this course appears to one of them.
So add the power spiking and the unusually high flat speed and you get a really unusual/improbable result.
My PC would not let me take a screen print when Bkool crashed but I took some phots with my phone (but not whilst riding).
When I crashed out I had a small 8% to crest and the rest looked like it was downhill most of which looked pretty steep.
At that point I was at 54:37 with 3.1km to run and looking at the profile I would proably have average over 60kph which in my books would have been another 3 minutes.
While I am on my Turbo my wife often does some private work for Consultants at the Hospital (typing notes) and she thinks that the time of my crash may have coincided with here e-mailing her finished work back to the hospital in an encrypted file.
She was also doing typing on Thursday. We are going to do a little test tomorrow to see if this is the case.
I have however come across sessions before that no matter what I do I can't complete them without it crashing.
I will have another go tomorrow if it is still live and I have the legs.
I shall probably challenge Jacob so that I can draft up to the climb and then go hell for leather.

You know I thought the end of the effort would be at the top of the big climb because the rest looked almost all downhill. How wrong was I, those last few little inclines are real killers.
