Thanks Geoff. 33:01 for me.

Bill, are you sure that's correct, Bkool seems to have logged you at 33:57.

Don't want to over handicap you!

Geoff - Roleur1 is just my forum & Garmin name. I'm Mark. Hello mate.
Roleurs are normally bigger heavier riders who can roll and get over the undulations - big strong boys. I kid myself I am Ian Stannard in my cycling dreams. At 6ft 2 and 85 kg it suits me well.

I sat at the start line for a couple of minutes watching the elapsed time tick over with the yes/no box visible. I was tuning the pedals just keeping ticking over, but I didnt push the 'no' button until 12.15 elapsed. it then gave me the loading ride pop up and the ride screen came up. I reckon if was about 10 seconds from pushing NO and then getting on the ride. My garmin is reading 38.03 but I started it bang on time but was shagged after the ride and didnt hit the stop button for a few seconds as I couldnt see my garmin on the stand in front of me!. I reckon my ride was about 37.56.
My ride stats on Bkool for this ride says 38.07.
I didnt have the confidence after my tech troubles last time to open the ride with a few seconds to go and hit no. I didnt realise there would be a delay in opening the ride. Doesnt that happen for everyone?

When I click "no" at my designated handicap time (14.30), it does take several seconds before the proper screen showing me moving along kicks in. I keep pedalling during this time as I don't know whether it's already started the clock and there's just a bit of lag before the graphics work properly or not?

Hey guys

After a bit of advice. I've noticed my Bkool pro has started making a clicking noise and looking at the (what I assume is) flywheel (which you can just see inside the unit), most of a turn it all looks smooth but where the clicking sound comes in, there seems a slight gap between different parts.

Hopefully this makes sense and has anyone else encountered this?

It doesn't seem to be affecting the performance yet but suspect it's on its way out.

I have had some info from Adam who I bought my Pro bits from and he had another unit which he thought had a warped flywheel but it was actualy the conductive disc that is held on by 4 screws on the back of the flywheel and is bonded as well.
The adhesive had failed on his and because the screws are so close to the centre they cannot stop the disc coming away from the flywheel and so eventualy it will catch on the magnets making he noise you can hear.
This would appear to be a not to uncommon fault with the Pro model where as the Classic flywheel is made better.
If you can remove your top cover by undoing the six screws that are fitted underneath this should give you access and then you can see if you can apply some suitable adhesive.
However if it is still under warranty you might not wish to do this

Thanks Geoff!
Doesn't the mind play tricks. It was Baldo I tussled with at the end and Rob who I couldn't overhaul at the line. Apologies.

I went past a few people in the last 3rd of the ride but I couldnt see the name panels as I went past.....couldnt focus properly and was covered in drool and snot.

Loads of riders starting after me just seemed to drop off the rider list. Bridgy dissapeared about half way through and the rider panel told me someone was 12 secs behind me with 40 secs to go. I climbed that 9% drag a lot better this time and was faster over that last nagging 2% before the finish. I wasnt cuaght but was convinced I was going to be. and gave it the berries for the last couple of minutes.

Well, I finally got all the correct times dug out (I think) but the results don't really match what I saw in the session!

The recording shows the following finishes (plus a few missing riders slotted in place)

1) Roleur1
2) BillS - Not showing on the recording
3) Adski
4) Insomnia
5) Bert1971
6) Kipster
7) Goldwolfie
8) Rob
9) Bobinski
10) Baldo Mero
11) Bridgy
12) BenH
13) Berty Bassett
14) JLaw
15) Soarerv8
16) PaulF - I think
17) CX Randy - I think

No idea where AAAC finished as he disappeared from the recording (again) before the finish, and Lars time seems to put him Second but no sign of him anywhere near that!

It is a struggle to figure it out around all these glitches!

EDIT: I think I worked out what happened with you Lars, it looks like you started really late, so trailed in at the back, but had you started at the correct time you would have come second (on the road) just a few seconds in front of Bill (assuming he wouldn't have killed himself to keep in front of you, and assuming you could have seen him).

I can assure you that was not teasing. I spent the whole race trying to hold you off. You'd disappear out of my rankings and I'd think you were done for, put a load more effort in to catch the next person, and you'd appear again ....and gaining on me...I couldn't pull away from you, I was already giving it my all.
A great race from my point of view anyways.
Big battles with everyone, except Soarer who seemed to be more interested in ringing his bell and playing with something in his basket.
I can explain this I've got some new shorts and they have got a really uncomfortable seam in them......

Sorry Geoff. I just looked an it says 33.57. Total time 34.01
I was just remembering what I thought bkool had listed at the end of my ride but looks like I was wrong.
And No! I don't want to be over handicapped.

Major internet problems in large parts of Denmark. I think I should consider myself lucky to have finished and saved my ride. Even though it died right when I was supposed to join, it was back a few minutes later. Right after I saved my ride connection died completely and have only just started to work again.

My time was 36:16 and I can assure you that those 283 watts were the most hard earned BKool watts so far. Man, if I can reach 300 watt in Bkool time trial mode, I will have no trouble qualifying for the real world championship time trial.

AAAC, I think you were trying to offer me some drafting assistance, thanks. I just don't think drafting is working, not for me at least. Break resistance is the same whether I'm right behind you, right in front of you or far from you. I still think it's the on/off thing that makes us faster when we try to draft each other.

These are how the results should have been, given your elapsed times and handicaps, had everyone started at the exact time they should have...

Not bad, all but the last two places are within less than 3 minutes!

A few people for a slight trim on the Handicap, but no-one needs scalping this time!

Thank you so much for the detailed reply.

I guess I'll go down the warranty route as I only bought it in October. Not a great time of the year to be without a trainer though.
