RIGHT!!

I've just gone through the sequence of magic incantations needed to get ghosts on a league session and got it to work, so I'm going to document it here while I remember...

On the Bkool web site, find the league (Share->Leagues->League name) and then click the stage you want to ride (say Chaingang Feb 2016 - Stage 1 - Baldo Blast) to get the list of results to date. Challenge one of those results or click Copy on the stage page..

This adds a session to your scheduled sessions list and switches you to the Sessions->Scheduled page in the web site.

Find the session you just added, it should have the league symbol next to it.

View attachment 119026

Click on the symbol under the See column for that session and then on the name of the session

This opens the session page, click on SET-UP > in the top right corner and add the ghosts you want

Now before you schedule it click on the Details page

View attachment 119027

Under details drop down the list for the type of session and choose Session valid for league

View attachment 119028

Then select the league

View attachment 119029

Now click schedule in the top right corner...

You should now see a session schedule with the relevant date and the number of ghosts you selected

View attachment 119030

Got to the Bsim simulator and find the league tab and the session name and confirm the number of opponents

View attachment 119031

Then either start the session or click details to set-up the session (i.e. disable Actual atmospheric conditions) and/or review the Riders

Obviously, make sure that Ghosts are Allowed (and as normal no Solo mode)!

View attachment 119033

If you review the riders you should see all the ghosts you chose...

View attachment 119034

Start the session and chase your ghosts...

Geoff
Geoff,

I had a go at trying to set one up this morning,
got to the add ghosts and bots but couldn't add ghosts only bots? do you have to be friends to be able to add them?

Also I still managed to knock a couple of mins off my previous time but 1) it's still showing in the league as one run completed. And 2) on my home page I think it's including my warm up and warm down in the run. Approx 46 mins total. Is this something that happens a lot?

Just so you (and others new to bkool leagues) know, rides are often held by bkool to be approved by the league admin. Just posting here that you've done the ride but it's not showing, is usually enough to get one of us to go and have a look to see if it's waiting approval. In your case it was just because your weight has apparently been recently changed and that flagged up your ride. Nothing to do with you or the way the league was set up, but yet another one of bkool's annoying quirk's.

If you look at the stage of the league you have just done, there should be a box above the stage table with your time in it. If you click on the box you will see the status of you ride and what if anything has been flagged to the Admins to check.

@BILL S Did you get my message about the Mountain Goat Stage 1 that i completed on Saturday?

Unfortunately I thought i has programmed it from the league tab but when i finished i noticed it wasn't, is there any way i can get this ride put onto the league?

Nope, a rejection here as well mate , i did get a lovely long sleeve jersey though that has Ride London plastered all over it so people will think that i HAVE done it:evil:
Ah, you must be one of those 'minted' types, that donates their fee irrespective of gaining a place or not? After donating my fee for several years to the London Marathon, under the misguided presumption, that it would curry favour in the ballot, and eventually conceding that it didn't, I no longer bother. Only need so many fleeces for work.

So did anyone get a Pru-RideLondon place? I got ANOTHER rejection.
I did get an email from British Heart Foundation that still has places available, £10 and £400 of sponserships:wacko:

That makes sense cheers Bill. Strange one about the weight. It hasn't changed unfortunately...

Hi Alfie. I did respond and I requested that you do a quick dummy ride (ony 1 or 2 mins) from the league tab so I can alter that to your actual time. Please let me know when you've done that.

Didn't bother entering this year. Rejected the last two years and hearing multiple stories of complete carnange / bikes mangled etc has put me off a little. Still feels like one of those things you need to do at least once to tick it off the bucket list

Rejected this year, but not unhappy as I got in last year. Tip for the future, apply as your wife as well, women are much more likely to get in, something like a 50% chance where men have less than 20%. You don't even need to take her along to the registration, just all the required documents in her name. Wack the number on your bike and off you go. If as a bonus you both get in, and only one of you wants to ride, defer one until next year.

I much preferred Velothon Wales as an event, fewer riders, nicer views (once you clear Cardiff). I now feel the need to tick of the Velothon series of events (Berlin, Stockholm, Austria).

Saw several crashes due to poor riding, not hold line etc.., i was nearly taken out by one who though taking the apex would be great, unfortunately I was there when he decided to swoop in, fortunately my stature isn't small and I was able to keep him at bay / shoulder barge and stay upright.

Well, I was "minted" but have given the buggers so much money over the years and still no place i am positively poor! I am certainly poorer of spirit:sad:

I know a group that rode the empty roads overnight! Am very tempted to do that this year especially if the weather is good:becool:
