CHAINGANG RACE 7PM TONIGHT

Warm up starts at 7pm - Join in from the 'LIVE' tab only - do not start a league session yourself.
In Gear Time Trial - 10 mile
http://www.bkool.com/classification/showIndividualStageClassification/5361

If you cant find it under 'LIVE' do a filter search for 'In Gear'. Race starts at the end of the 10 minute warm up at 7.10pm - every man for himself - no handicaps - drafting encouraged, pulsers will be shot on sight

Guys, you did notice that vertical axis of the graph for the course only goes up and down about 20m? ^_^ Total climbing 133m :girldance:

It sounded worse when @CXRAndy said "400 + Ft"

If you export a .FIT file from the session and manually import it to GC, then the high metres are OK. Here's an example:

I was being flippant .......but this is interesting. I had forgotten what the old format GC looked like...its been on the modern format for a while now. Thanks for the tip....

Ok I might manage with a 25 minute head start on that basis

On the subject of kit, I don't get on with bibs. I have a couple of pairs but find it painful to stand up straight in them plus the additional material makes them uncomfortable in summer.
My solution to the potential gap problem is to use gents clip on braces with waist shorts. Not an original idea, it's what Eddy Merckx did.
I should confess that as an elderly gentleman I'm not very bendy and the Wiggo flat back is not a possibility for me, so the jersey/waistband gap is unlikely to trouble me.
Finally, chapeau to the Gabba jacket. The best bit of kit I've ever bought and the thing that keeps me riding through the winter.

I am unlikely to join you all tonight. Too busy perfecting my "on/off" technique;). Well, shuffling papers at work actually but doesn't sound half as much fun does it?
Hopefully I will get back in time to cheer, cajole and mock ^_^

Good luck all!

Seems we have very similar spending habits!

I like Castelli, I use their bib tights for this time of year. But the shoulder straps seem unnecessarily thin and severe to me. I'm just shy of 6'4 and rapha is a superb fit for me. The pad is the best I've tried and its very nicely made kit. Having said that it's an expensive habit to say the least, the sales have come and gone unfortunately, and to say rapha splits opinion is an understatement!
I got a couple of summer tops in the sale for the mountains in the spring. It's amazing how many people in the club deride Rapha and then turn up a few weeks later wearing it!

Sounds excellent for drafting then.
Who's up for getting a good train together and chasing down anyone who tries to break away at the front.
(whoever that may be)

count me in, Im not worried about my performance tonight. I expect it would have to start gently and be quite tame up any rises to keep together.
