In the ranking list for last nights ride why am I the only one not to show membership of the CycleChat Chain Gang Group?
Not that it matters much, the ride was good fun, but I wonder if I should be joining somewhere else.

It doesn't show the group against your own name for some reason in the rankings of the ride details (if I'm interpreting your question correctly). Another Bkool website oddity!

Nice story. I have noticed his name in a few Bkool races. A really strong rider...never imagined that this was the guy behind the name ^_^.

That's strange, when I look at the list you are shown as belonging to the CycleChatChainGang and I am the only one who isn't.

Does that mean that the person looking at their own name is the only one not to see the group name alongside?

But the speed is still way out though. For a group of 3-4 riders at our level working well together, I would expect something like 40-42 kph In (24.85 - 26 mph) in the real world.
I am away at the moment and haven't looked that closely but I thought my average was about 25.

Just Checked on Strava, average 25.5 and that felt about right, maybe a bit fast?

Think that includes your warm up /down Guy. The speed for the actual race on Bkool is around 30mph.

The fact that Bkool exports the ride including warm up /down to strava really annoys me!

Some of that will come from this speed spikes at the begining and those Pro Slings going into climbs where your speed would drop instead of spiking up.
It doesn't take many abnormal spikes to have a reasonable impact on the average speed.
However if it is the same for every one (ish) then its all part of the virtual game.

On the subject of kit, I don't get on with bibs. I have a couple of pairs but find it painful to stand up straight in them plus the additional material makes them uncomfortable in summer.
My solution to the potential gap problem is to use gents clip on braces with waist shorts. Not an original idea, it's what Eddy Merckx did.
I should confess that as an elderly gentleman I'm not very bendy and the Wiggo flat back is not a possibility for me, so the jersey/waistband gap is unlikely to trouble me.
Finally, chapeau to the Gabba jacket. The best bit of kit I've ever bought and the thing that keeps me riding through the winter.

That's what we all did before bibs, isn't it?.
My first shorts were Madison Track shorts made from Merino with a chamois pad of course.
I chose the Madisons as being a skinny git I thought it might add some bulk to my thighs but only I probably thought that.
For TT's to get aero I would tuck my shirt into my shorts and wear the braces over my shirt which also helped stop my top flapping in the wind.
Other than that aero meant slaming your TTT Bar Stem as far into the forks that it would go and ride with your chin as close to the bars a possible.
Alfie 'The King' did a lot of bike modding for TT's but mine was limited to removing the front changer for TT's and fitting a 54T chainring to go with my straight 13/18 six speed block.
That got me back to thinking that the only thing missing from the 10 mile Tin Can TT, which is so similar to my old club 10 miler, is a dead turn at 5 miles on an 'A' road.
I'm sure they wouldn't let you do that now!

Soon be time for the re-run.

Anyone up for drafting? I'd suggest a quick start so you can get with the group who's going at the right speed for you.
Be in top gear and get ready to nail it just after you hear the 4th (last) beep.

See you all out there:bicycle:

My PRE (pre race excuse) . I've been working out of town all week, over eating and not riding.
