on another note.....I have just uploaded a route I have done a couple of times and would like to complete it on the bkool trainer. Only problem, is that it seems to have uploaded it twice.
Does anyone know how to delete an uploaded route?

If any of you are interested, it's around 30 miles and goes up and over Whinlatter Pass in the Lake District in UK, it isn't that steep btw.
It's called Cockermouth to Keswick via Whinlatter Pass.

I'm not sure if there are real people already riding it or bots, but I entered the route and 2 people flew past me.
Can't wait for my bkool trainer

I don't know if it makes a difference, but which garmin?(cadence) are you using? I have the garmin edge 500 and have a cadence sensor that goes with that, I'm not sure if this one will work?
It's a Garmin GSC-10 . Should be the same as yours. I don't understand why Bkool didn't ship every Pro with their own Cadence sensor it's only £21.99 ! it would solve this issue with the unstable cadence/rpm. Without a proper sensor sending a signal every crank rotation it's never going to be correct !

Bill, I asked you about the "Time Improved" rule because I filed it as a bug that the number is always a positive number (time improved in ms). The response was pretty lame, and it's obvious that the person answering is a "shield" between us and the programmers. I only hope we're getting through:

Hi L,

Thanks for your message. When the time is actually improved, the time in miliseconds reading should be negative compared to the previous one, hence the <=0.

See you at Bkool

Yeah, this is just a typical bkool rubbish response. I have given up contacting them about anything because they always tell you that its a problem that only you have and their system is working fine. They know that is not the case and eventually they fix it. Things have improved a lot in the past 6 months though.

Bill S or anyone else, would I possibly be able to join your group so that when my trainer arrives I'll be good to go. If so, what is your group called and how do I join

Rick - how do I register myself in the cyclechat group in the summer league. I did my second stage this evening but I'm not registering as a cyclechat group.

I wore a power tap heart rate/power strap this evening and I will say my power output was a lot lower than normal but if I was being honest I think the power tap readings were probably more accurate ?
Link attached should sort you Monte.

Hazie, click the link in the previous post to bkools summer league for now. There's five of six of us in it. We don't have any active leagues from our group currently but will be starting back in the autumn. We have the Cyclechat Chaingang and the mountain goats groups.

I'm showing as a member but not registering in the results, hopefully sort itself out over time. I'm supposed to be taking it easy this week as I'm riding the Ride London sportive this weekend but the summer league has got me hooked again on the bkool

No problem Hazie.
We are all members of 2 groups:

Cyclechat mountain goats
Cyclechat chaingang

we run leagues for everyone who posts on this board so if you request to join these I will sign you up. There are no leagues for these groups right now because many people are taking their summer break and spending more time on the tarmac, but once it gets colder and wetter the numbers will be back up again. In the mean time, those of us who are still using our turbo's are busy with the Bkool summer cup. Hopefully Rickb can send you an invite to join that. 2 rides per week and you'll have a few to catch up on if you want to complete the whole thing. Also you can ride them as often as you like to try and improve your times.

Edit: Rick beat me to it

Heads up all: I know there's been cadence problems with quite a few and I was speaking the Craig Harrison the USA rep form Bkool who has given the following info:

The cadence thing isn't usually hardware, BTW -- it was a firmware problem that is considerably better with the last update (v.3.6). If anyone with a black Pro trainer hasn't gotten a prompt to update their firmware in the past 2 months, they can check their firmware by going to settings in the simulator once it's paired to the trainer, scroll down to "About Bkool Indoor" and click on it. Under "ANT+ INFORMATION," it should show the trainer and a firmware version number. If it reads "0.0" just close and re-open "About Bkool Indoor" until it refreshes. If they have an older version, they should email info@bkool.com -- they can cc me at supportusa@bkool.com and I'll keep tabs on their response from here.

Unfortunately I'm on version 3.2 so mine isnt updating.

Monte,
If you're talking about not seeing cyclechat chain gang by your name in the results it shows up for everyone else in the league just not in your own.

Edit. I would have shown my own name as an example but sadly I'm not in the top 50 anymore.

BTW, I love the fact that I can upload routes that I've either done or want to do, to bkool, and then actually ride them. Yes the scenery might be a bit lacking but the thought of riding either the TDF or the Fred Whiton or just a local ride that I want to improve on makes this bkool software pretty impressive.
