Agree with this LB. Skovsgaard is the one I least expect to be able to stay with.
He really gave it all on "Oak Flat", so the opportunity to gain some (easy) time is not really there anymore. I only managed to get 27 secs on the + account.
If you do the session with him as ghost, then don't give up following him. It gets "easier" when the climb gets a little steeper later on.

I've now tried bkool on zwift and traineroad and works well, I feel it could prompt bkool to sort the wattage problem as no longer can hide in there closed world. Once the weather turns I intend to have a real geek week using my pm to see where the gaps are.[/QUOTE]

Ive hooked up to trainer road as well to get my sufferfest vids going again, but the calibration is way off, did you have to adjust something in the software to get it working properly?

Bkool Cycle chat week 9e race tip. Because the first quarter of the race is downhill, follow a tip I got from Bobinski, neck some waffles. Being over 200 pounds (7 boulder,3stone,4 pebbles for you UK guys) keeps the speed numbers blue.

I got trainer road to recognise bkool but could not get the calibration process to work. I tried via devices, ant+ and then clicked the calibration button . Interestingly I could hear TR communicating with and adjusting it seemed the resistance before the calibration process was supposed to start but it just stalled. A few hrs lost this afternoon when I should have been out on the bike or just riding via BSIM. I am sure it will be sorted but just wanted the opportunity to relive my heavy investment in sufferfest vids and TR.

Aha, same as me then. I did mail TR, and they do have the bkool hardware, but couldn't find me a date that it would be ready. They did send me 2 months of promo codes to use though, so that was pretty good of them! I also have sufferfest vids, you may also want to check out perfpro, they have a similar system that the vids can be integrated with. I also have feedback from them that they are working on the bkool solution for calibration.

Ha! I emailed TR and they invited me to try the software out with bkool. I asked whether I should do it at cost to myself but they didn't offer me any promo codes
Said the same to me re calibration. Fingers crossed.

I tried to follow Corby's ghost tonight as well as 2 of Ricks. I had already had one abortive attempt where the software wouldn't recognise I had stopped pedalling on the countdown to start. Raced off and caught up but given the overall aim was to get a good time I thought best to start again.
The restart went fine though I have to say Corby and Rick shot off. Managed to keep up with Rick past 8 km but had 2 server disconnections. I was getting quite dispirited when, as if in a benny hill show, the bike shifted in the trainer under my awesome power, the tyre making contact with the side and producing a horrible smell of burning rubber! Sometimes it's just not meant to be
In other news Trainerroad have emailed to say they have a bkool in house and hope to have it integrated into the software soon. In the meantime they suggest using it as if a power meter.

I did the session with both of you as ghosts and got my spot in first place before yourself, Scovsgaard & FM came past a few minutes later. For a while it looked like you would take it but FM always seems to keep a lot for the second half which is something I never seem to be able to do. I've been off the bike for a couple of weeks so not feeling strong and very happy to get the time I did. The turbo behaved well and the lack of downhill meant there was hardly any vibration coming from it. Couldn't get near Scovsgaard though. At the moment he's got me beat even on the climbs.
I think it's time for me to start putting in more time and longer rides, but this Summer Cup malarkey does make that rather difficult.

Tried my best to make up lost time to Corby last night. Improved by about 2:30 minutes but still was 2 minutes down on his time. Just haven't the power to stay with him on the climbs.

I admit defeat! :B):cycle:

rick, its darned hard enough trying to keep you in sight on the climbs but then you seem to pull away effortlessly on the flats as if you have power to spare. I would bury myself to catch up only to be left with no power whatsoever. The thing is your power looks pretty consistent. Very impressive. And as for Bill and LBHFI:notworthy: I think its gonna be an interesting winter mountain goats series.
