I'm in, i still intend to winter ride but if the goat stages are open for a week that would be easily enough.

Alp D'heux, Ventoux, Stelvio d'aubisque, Glandon, Gavia...

I was also thinking of a league for doing the top 100 climbs in uk? i dont mind setting that one up but run it for all of winter and knock em off? thoughts?

I'm in, done 5 for real this year (4x Combe Gibbet, which is just down the road from me, The Tumble, Leith Hill, Box Hill and Cheddar Gorge). One day I'll get round to some of the tough ones ;)

It should be on Firmware 3.6 to be completely up to date so it may be like mine which was fixed to 3.4 and unable to update.

My first trainer had the fun noise even with the side cover off.

On the plus side my third trainer is perfect! ^_^

I didn't bother waiting to find out if mine had the fan rub, I just took the cover off. I do get some noise at high speed but no idea if it's the same as others. As I'm relegated to the garage (a god send for the goat stages in the winter), it doesn't bother the family or me, I just turn the radio up.

sorry rick it is on 3.6 now but when I received it it was on 3.4
I just thought most of the problem trainers where 3.2 firmware
not too worried about noise. I can feel vibration through the bike a lot at a certain speed

Ah yes. You're right I think. It was 3.2 mine was stuck on. Apologies.

Finally the Bkool summer league comes to an end.
Not over yet. I just saw fmpando make a sneak attack at Pep:smile:.
He's 1:15 behind in the overall standings, and he just took 40 seconds. I wonder if he will go for the last 35 secs.

<edit>
Isn't he the one hosting todays event? He better hurry then

You're kidding! It was listed as finishing yesterday but this morning they said you could complete stages today!

If you ever do Crowcombe (just up the road from me) for real, give me a shout and I'll try and provide logistical support (drive up behind you with sticky bottles)!

If I get the electric assist road bike I might even try riding up with you, doing it without the assist would definitely put me back in hospital!

P.S. Still got those Dura Ace 9000 Carbon Pedals if you fancy them, no way I'm ever going to use them now.

That would explain why fmpando would not race at todays event. I'm surprised you stayed as long as you did, or perhaps like me, you thought he'd do his usual take it easy at the start then go into full on attack mode half way through. As it happened, I'd have been better off making a sneak (but futile) attack on you at the bkool summer cup

Bill, I am definitely in. I will try to make as many rides as possible but not having a dedicated training space and having to turf the family out the living room and set bkool up makes things a bit awkward sometimes-or so I am told^_^. I have a builder coming round to quote for shoring up the floor in the loft space to take the weight of me and bike and turbo and to put a plug point in for the 'leccy. Blimey, writing that makes it sound like I am taking this pretty seriously:wacko:

That's where I do my training Bob. In the loft and it's pretty good. All I did was to board it up completely using B&Q chipboard over the existing old ceiling joists. Took a lead of the lighting circuit for loft power and lights and the job was a good un. Perfect man cave where the mrs never goes.

I have a score to settle with Crowcombe, it was a climb on a sportive I entered a few years ago - got off about half way and walked and I can't remember the last time I did that.

New here, but have used a classic on and off for the last year or so. Just starting to get some legs and losing some weight.

I would like to join the various leagues and such that you run. The 100 climbs look good to me not too long but still hard.

My bkool name is the same as here.

Thanks Rob. I will make these the first stages of the goat league.

I think your top 100 climbs over the winter will be a really great addition to keep us all going. Will they all fit into the one league do you think? I have no idea if there are and limits to the number of stages.
