Another messed up start on the velodrome tonight -- they started the countdown with over a minute left on the clock. :ninja: By the time I got going most seemed to be away.

Everyone kept jumping about/disappearing except for Bill and a handful of others, so hadnt really a clue who was in front or behind. Turns out there were more in front of me that I reckoned!

Well done Bill though - couldnt hold ya at all. :surrender:

Exactly the same happened to me Rick. My countdown started at the usual 10 mins then it increased to 12 mins but the race started when I was still pedalling away somewhere about the 2 minute mark. Took me ages to get going then when I did and things settled down it seemed like you and me were in the lead. I saw all the same jumping around and disappearing but everything else said that we were in front. Was happy with the power and speed though. If we'd got off the line at the right time I think we would have been up there. Not much in it between us was there though as you made the more power and burned more calories but I only just had you in speed.

Well my countdown was ok, but on start, before i'd done one rev, a couple of guys were already in the distance going round the first turn!
Had to fight my way up from way down the field but started to run out of gas near the end.
Another good ride Bill... could have slowed down a bit when you were lapping me though :okay:

Phew-did Alpe d'Huez- I had forgotten how hard it is-or perhaps it is a bit like child birth and I was just choosing not to remember! I was pleased as I took 10 mins off my best time, but seriously thought I might die at one point! Perhaps not the best moment to realise that my saddle was slightly twisted.....
The thought of doing that for 2 hours + for Ventoux is terrifying. Mind you the flat rides are useless for me as I just can't generate enough power.

27 emails from Bkool today... your ride has been approved... the same ride.. im getting 2-3 a day and they are all the same.

Same here, its driving me nuts! All my strava run uploads are being linked back to Bkool as well and being generated into 3d files for some reason??

Hi team!

I have a Tacx Bushido Smart. I am going to get the bkool app on my android tablet today. I don't have an ANT+ dongle. Can anyone tell me if it will work to control the resistance of my turbo over bluetooth? Going to try it tonight, but so far I'm finding it hard to find apps that are compatible!

Cheers,

James

Hi all,
Just finished Ventoux but it says an illegal classification on weight as I am now 80.3Kg not 81.2Kg does some one have to approve this change??

Looking forward to the next one^_^

Well done Pete. Your ride is approved.

Next one looks pretty tough too:secret:

I can confirm it was brutal cycling Ventoux for 2 hours 20 mins - but I was determined to finish and get a time on the board. Probably won't be doing it again though!
Brutal is the word. I spent the last 2 miles fighting cramps in my legs as well as trying to keep the turkey tacos I had for dinner before the ride from coming back up.

But it's done and in the books - 2:18. Not a strong effort for me, so I'll probably grind up again, but with a longer break between dinner and riding!

Tonight 6pm UK time:

bkool facebook event.

The name of the route is "Appalachian Gap Climb from Waitsfield" and the event will be started by "Bkool_Videos". Type "video" into filters at 6pm when (in theory) there will be a 10 minute warmup. Rick, it may be worth us stopping pedalling a couple of minutes before the race starts so we'll be ready if they do another false start.

There does seem to be issues starting these things so that would be a good idea. :okay:

Not sure I'll make it though as my outdoor bike has just been rebuilt on a new (upgraded!) frame due to warranty issues so I may go out this evening to tweak my saddle height etc.. Got a 75 mile sportive on Saturday so need to make sure all is well. :pump:
