Seems to be a bit of a common theme - Knee problems... I have to be very careful at the moment but like Rick just ensure if you having a few niggles make sure you warm up & warm down (very important). Last ride today for a week or so as were away (half term) - good bit - rest the knee, bad bit - will probably put on a stone.

Hmm, it seems that I've messed up when selecting the Alpe d'Huez ride. It shows as completed on my profile, but its not in the rankings and does not have this throphy-symbol next to it. Is there any way to get this ride into the rankings (mountain goats)

Sounds like you didnt select it from the leagues listings - you can also challenge someone else's league run and it'll be included in the league listings.

Two options:
1. do it again :tongue:
2. Start a properly league attempt for a few seconds then quit and save the attempt. Once you've done that message Bill S or myself and we can adjust that partial attempt to match your actual time from the non-league run.

Rick I do however think that we'll have to draw a line on what completed time we'd actually do that for.

After all, if Ryan comes on here saying he's just done the Dhuez in 39 minutes and 12 seconds but forgot to select it from the league Tab....:tongue::rofl:
:headshake:

Compelled to finish any road or virtual road ride I start. I blame Mike who introduced me to climbing on roads so many years ago... I miss the granny gears on the mountain bike, but not the fat tires. Yes we used to do all our climbs on mtn bikes

I'll probably do it again given my effort was so weak. Need to eat a bit I suspect, probably starting about 45 minutes into the ride to avoid my 1hr wall.
You're going to try that ride again!?! Big respect :notworthy: I'm going nowhere near that ride ever again  Once is more than enough!

Depends on time constraints. Will probably knock off that little league ride tonight which gives me a few days to do a couple of the league rides again (not huez, which I already did 3 times to work out a technical glitch).

I used to back-to-back Little Cottonwood (3400ft vertical) to prepare for riding the skyline trail -- 6600 vertical feet of single track climbing. I was single, younger and carrying about 50lbs less dead weight back then.
