My 80mb fibre should do the job then

I am on Virgin Media's fastest/biggest package and i can say the only program that gives me intermittent problems is Bkool:sad: We can have netflix and iplayer streamimg to 2 users and my eldest gaming online and no issues. I can use Zwift or Trainer road and no problems logging on or riding but trying to use bkool, especially video rather than 3d and even with a gaming pc rather than laptop results in frozen screens, Buffering, drop puts or worse. I have taken to banning anyone in the house using the internet when i ride just to improve prospects of a good clean ride. That makes me popular with my kids :laugh:I am sure they have server issues or are just overwhelmed with users. On sunday i had one good completed ride and 3 failed attempts. Straight into Zwift and a short ride just to test. All fine. Then onto Netflix-again all fine. Can be very frustrating!

How fast an Internet connection do you really need to run the simulator smoothly?

Ta
Mine works well at 50Mbps using a wired or wireless connection to the laptop running the bkool software.

It has failed miserably with a 7Mbps connection using a wireless connection to the laptop running the bkool software.

I have a 18mps connection with BT - wired through Mains network adaptors and USB cable to put the Ant+ dongle near the Bkool unit. Extremely rare that I get a glitch now - I run teh 3D on medium quality as the PC cant cope with high and rarely use video - though it seems to work ok on the whole.

Just finished the Bkool velodrome event - over 40 people in tonight though didnt recognize many of the names, beaten by 11 laps by this guy:

Mr J Skovsgaard! Unstoppable! :surrender:

Also beaten by someone who was on a Tacx Neo - they generated 218 watts (2.4w/kg) and beat me by a minute! Hmmmm....

Well, he is the unofficial danish Bkool champion, so no shame in that.
Also, there must be a Bkool glitch there, or somebody made him mad and he turned green: 785 watt avg. 181 % effort.

Doesn't look like he is going to complete any of the Mountain Goat sessions. Could have been interesting to watch the battle against massive power and gravity.

Hi all,

Just did Alp d'Huez. Interesting is all I can say! My legs certainly felt it.

One question though, I looked at the Mountain Goat League table and my time does not show. Is it just server lag and will eventually appear there or is there a number of rides to be completed before times start to show? ( I'm not that bothered but just nice to see)

If there are no errors in your attempt they usually go straight on. Check the my attempts box in the d'huez window. Any red x's and it needs to be approved

I'm liking the new firmware on my classic, 2.04. I am getting actual speeds once the trainer maxs out on resistance. I'm still not as quick or powerful as most in the leagues but 5 mph is better than 1.8. :bicycle::wahhey::dry:

Oh and another T100 done tonight, Park Rash. :tired:
