Bill, They are;

Santurde de Rioja to Valdezezcaray return - 50.2 Km
Santurde De Rioja - 73Km

They might be a bit long for the league but see what you think. Plenty of climbing ;)

Thanks Nutty. I like those rides but they are probably too long to suite the tastes of everyone in the group. I'd be concerned that some would avoid those and I'm trying to get as many completed as possible. If the rides were just to the peak they would probably be quite suitable.

Bill, here's some suggestions from my favorites. They're 3D until I get a gopro and climb them again next summer (too damn cold now).

Big Cottonwood Canyon
City Creek Canyon
Emigration Canyon
Little Cottonwood Canyon
Millcreek Canyon

Bkool is behind again on creating the 3D rides, but if they catch up, I've got plenty more local (for me ) climbs I can add

Thanks J.
4 of those look like they'll make good Goat stages. Maybe not as steep as most previous ones but it'll be good to help out the heavier contestants. I've noted these to add to future leagues.

Anyone else want to suggest their favourite hill climbs preferably between 5 and 10 miles long and between 5 and 15% gradient? Thanks.

Hi Milo. Just request to join the group in the bkool website and because you have posted here you will be accepted.

If you do sign up it will involve one climb per week if you choose to complete future leagues. If you decide to complete the present league you have your work cut out for you as it finishes on the 31st.

And don't forget to ride league rides from the Leagues Tab if you want them to appear in the results.
Hi
Just logged into Bkool and am now accepted into The Goats and can see that there is now a ride scheduled for today? Can I ask a few questions?
What time is the group ride?
If I can't make the group ride but want to do it another day how long do I have left to complete? I'm assuming this is a monthly league?
Do the ghosts of previous league riders show up on the course if I start via the leagues tab?
Exactly how do I ride leagues from the leagues tab?

As you can see this is all very new to me and I'm still trying to get to grips with the Bkool software

Folks,

Trying to find an answer. I have added Mont Ventoux as one of my favorites however when I log in to the trainer I don't find it under my favs to ride. Other rides are there from other leagues but none are mountain goat league.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cancel - Just found them on the sim. Doh!

Thanks
I'll probably look how things develop first from the side lines before I jump in with both feet
That could be a good idea, wish I'd thought of that

The top 100 climbs is the one to join just to experiment. Plenty of variety there, from v. hard to really easy, spread over 60 stages  that you can do in any order.

I have currently attempted 15 of the sessions and completed 12. I keep coming back to have a go at the next 1 or 2 or sometimes 3 sessions :bicycle: I must be

The goats are more of a ride when you want, the chaingang is the group ride (although not much grouping in an all out race).

I think the current goat league ends this week, but another one will be along soon.

Ordinarily the ghosts of other participants dont appear, unless you challenge one of the previous attempts. If you do challenge I think the ride then appears in the scheduled tab.

Toride a league one, just start it from the league tab on the simulator.

Hey TB. The Mountain Goats do have a reputation to live up to you know. No extended freewheeling allowed on our stages!!
Look, as a person with an in built high potential for downhill speed, I've got to get some of the MG advantage back somehow

If they ever convert to 3D, Empire Pass & Big Cottonwood to Guardsman would be good goat rides. Empire/Guardsman is 8.8 miles @8.75% with a nasty 17% section. Big Cottonwood/Guardsman isn't as steep through most of the ride, but the 20% grades at the very end are awful.
