Congratulations Rick !!!! :cheers::cheers::cheers::dance::dance::dance::cycle::cycle::cycle:
Is that your first bkool facebook win?

Chain Gang first and second!!!:hyper::hyper::hyper:
:thanks: :wahhey:
It was indeed - Whoo Hooo!! Never thought I'd see the day - this time last year I was pushing out 170 Watts and turning the lights off after everyone else had left! :biggrin:

I thought the second half of it would suit me a bit better than the first half so used a burst of energy before each uphill to get momentum. :bicycle: Seemed to work but I'd nothing left in the last mile! Anymore uphill and I was a goner! :heat:

Fantastic race Bill - great to get top 2

Rick, LB and myself often do this one on Tuesday nights. Its the bkool facebook race and its pretty tough. 6pm start tonight.

This time our Bkool Challenge will feature a fantastic mountain bike route and the great David Cardena.

Unfortunately just home from work so wont get on tonight at all :cry:

Will have to try twice as hard tomorrow night!

I kept thinking I would wear you out eventually but in the end you wore me out. :heat: I've used that energy burst before each hill for a while now and it seems to work well. Unfortunately for me you're doing it now too so I can't get an advantage. Our quick start seemed to work well though and gave us a good buffer.

Tried a new tire today (same as the boxer), and it was surprisingly suitable for Bkool. It has longitudinal pattern (is that the right term for a profile in the driving direction), but it is very thin for a home trainer tire and can be inflated to 145 psi. I think I would be able to stand up at gradient up to 8-9% with this tire.

Unfortunately it didn't change anything regarding my problem with loss of power. I had a health check today, and I was on a hometrainer with very precise watt measurements. I asked the guy to set it to 300 watt, and I'm pretty sure it's the same as 200 watt on bkool flat sections.

So what I've got know is watts that is close to reality on 10-11% and 100 watt short on flat. Draw a line between the two points to find the "loss-curve".

Just did the mountain goats league Col du Telegraphs, cracking ride..... But lost WiFi for a minute or so and must have travelled through a space / time wormhole as Bkool decided to add 4 hrs onto my time when WiFi reconnected!

Uploaded it anyway but if its possible to have it corrected can you knock the 4 hrs off?! I didn't take that long, honest!

Martin D on Bkool.

EDIT looks like Bkool has corrected it automatically☺

Lars, what about getting bkool to connect to you and see if they can figure out the problem? I had a similar problem a long time ago and it was the tyre but you seem to have proved that it's not in your case. It could only therefore be a bkool problem.

I agree. Definitely get them to look at it. I couldn't live with it knowing it had dropped 100 watts off previous efforts.
