If you can put in the time, ignore the pain and push yourself to exhaustion 4 or 5 times a week.... Then it is easy:okay:
That's my plan. I figure I'll be on the wrong side of 50 by the time I undo the last 6+ years of no exercise, bad eating and such.

My body certainly doesn't respond as quickly as it used to. But I'm also in a much better position to carry forward with training through the winter than I've been in the past. The short term goal is the start next spring where I am today or better conditioning-wise. Even in my best years, I never did that over the long cold snowy winter here in Utah.

Soarer - had noticed you'd requested to join the chaingang but didnt realise you were on the forum, so just approved your request there now. :welcome:
Enjoy the leagues - hope you can make it Thursdays at 7pm (though you can ride the stages at anytime)
Marvelous thanks yes I will be the chap at the back eating a bag of crisps and trying to work out how to get off and walk a trainer up hills.

Hi does anybody here know if I need a wahoo ant+ dongle to use the Bkool App on iPad using a Tacx Bushido Smart?

I can't seem to find out for sure, my gut feeling is I need it to control resistance, the app sees the trainer if I manually pair but there seems to be no resistance.

I don't need the answer to the above question but I will post the answer here for anybody else who may need the answer in the future.

Bkool got back to me and said you do need the Wahoo Ant+ dongle with an Apple lightning to 30pin adaptor depending on which iPad used with the Tacx Bushido Smart

Folks,

Quick question about the leagues. As routes are split into weeks are there any issues if purge 5 stages into the first few weeks of the month? I am not sure if the results stand or not.

TIA

Sorry I should have more concise, for example Mountain Goats winter league 2 is split into 6 routes. Each route has a start date so if I were to complete all the stages in a week (hopeful thinking) would the results within the league stand at the end of the month or do the rides have to be completed when that date starts?

01/11/15 Col du Telegraphe
05/11/15 Col D'Aspin
09/11/15 City Creek Canyan and so on....

Hope you understand this one better^_^ Trying to multiple things at once here and as I am male I should only be capable of doing one thing at a time so I am told frequently!

Gotcha now!
You can only do the stages after the start date of each stage - so only Telegraphe is available now, then D'aspin after the 5th etc.. The active stages show up in the league stage listings as a large, more detailed box (under the heading active stages funny enough! )

The way things are set up in the Mountain Goats and the Chain Gang the rides will only become available within the Leagues tab when the date for the ride to start has been reached. The only way for your rides to count in the league is to either start it from the Leagues tab or to join a ride that someone else has started from the Leagues tab. So, the rides do have to be completed after the date starts and hopefully not too close to when the date ends. If it ends while you're doing the stage you might get kicked off the stage while half way through but I'm not sure about that one.
But I'd also like to point out that if you did all the rides in one week for either the goats or the chain gang I think you wouldn't do so well due to being completely knackered after a few days. Rides like these really need to be spread out.
Of course, there is an abundance of league rides which can be done anytime in the Top 100ish Climbs league. I often think I'm going to do 3 or 4 of them in one night but only end up doing one or two .

Thanks Bill and Rick for the replies. I understand the workings now as I was wondering what to beast myself with tonight. I think I will have a look at the 100's
