Hi guys,

I asked in another thread but didn't get much response, so I will try here...

I have just bought a Bkool Pro the resistance seems to be very close to expectations for me when climbing.

The issue I do have though is that when I am on cycling on a flat part of a course, I am almost in my highest gear. The perceived effort seems to correlate to the correct speed compared to my experience on the road but I am in a much higher gear, which means on any slight descent I am spinning out in my highest gear at 200w!

Anybody else have this problem?
Hi Spodnie

Sorry you didnt get a reply in your other thread. It seems most of us only get notifications when this thread is updated and miss the other ones.

What average watts would you do on a typical mountain climb? if it's not too rude can I ask what weight you are also?

It's certainly hard to hold the watts on the flat compared to climbing and depending on how tired I am, I would be top gear and spinning fast on any sort of decent (say -2% and under). I'm on a compact chainset for reference. The more weight you carry the easier you will spin out.

Even on the velodrome there will be stretches that I find myself in top gear for a few laps when trying to pull away or catch someone where gravity isn't factored in!

And there was me thinking you'd secretly got hold of a double ;).

Lol. I'd never get up the hills on a standard chainset. Compact seems to be the best compromise. I'd need to have a look at my bike soon as the bb is clunking most of the time now. Waiting for a crank to fall off some day!!! Old bike which doesn't get looked after as it only gets used on bkool.

Help!!!

Just completed Col du Telegraphe on the The Goats League. Throughout I kept getting a notification that I'd been disconnected ffrom the server and then a few seconds later that I'd been re connected. Managed to complete it fine but now I'm stuck on the 'Save Discard' screen and it wont let me click on 'Save'
Anyone have a solution???

Gutted  didn't save and seemed to have crashed Bkool.
Anyone else playing hokey cokey with the Bkool server today?

Not today. I did three sessions before work this morning (two of them league rides) with no problems. Good luck to everyone on today's Chain gang race.

When you go back into the program look under the settings tab and click on "about Bkool" and the ride may still be there.

Is there a Bkool Cyclechat Facebook page? If not, would one be useful? My Local cycling club use it to coordinate rides and races and perhaps we could do likewise - or would this simply duplicate what is on this excellent forum?
