Newbie question about the FTP test, do I really have to do the whole hour and a half? I did about 20 minutes of it and just became crushingly bored (and puffed out).

Took 3 minutes out of my Thursday night ride - chasing that Randy... well done everyone. My trainer almost came to a stand still on the inclines, I don't know what it is but the trainer just doesn't feel right somehow.

I went in and started my first moose ride to test 1. The new trainer 2. The new Wahoo Ant+ Dongle 3. The software all of which were new to me I managed to get it all working fairly quickly with little trouble.

I watched Benny and Jack ride off into the sunset as I climbed gingerly off the bike after 3km. It was a success in my book, all working and I look forward to future rides. I have severe Sciatica at the moment and waiting for X-rays to see what the damage is, so I really shouldn't have tried even this, but I had to check it out didn't I?

Considering I need to use my walking poles to get out of a chair when I've sat longer than 5 mins at the moment, I think I did ok

Thanks to Bobinski for getting the package to me with the Wahoo it was much appreciated. Now I'll have a cuppa and hopefully catch you guys in the near future

Well done again Rick!

I quite enjoyed that Yo Yo' ing I started late and so you had about a km on me and I had to really chase after you guys. Thought if I got in front you and Guy might both buckle but oh no, straight after me and me and then past me. Great stuff. Mind you, I dont think I would have ridden so hard otherwise and I am really spent now!

It's good to be back!

3minutes Monte? That's great especially with what sounds like dodgy calibration.

Nieil, glad it's working for you!

Well done all, I found myself in no mans land, I couldn't close the gap to Rick, Bobinski and guy, and couldn't pull much of a gap from monte and randy. Really enjoyed it, I was aiming for sub 40 minutes and hit that target.

Shame about the puncture Guy, even if it did hand me 3rd on the night.

Great race man. Forgot you'd started later so you're the real winner this evening! You were really pushing it in the last half a mile. I'm spent after that!!! Love it! ^_^:bravo:

Great race..My legs are killing me. I went all out and Monte kept pulling and pushing me.

New rules.. Monte has to go on vacation every week before the race and consume 10000 calories a day and Kipster has to have a crash every week before the race. Just a little more bruising next time.

Ha! bless you Rick.
Not quite, you were still faster and probably slowed a bit after Guys unfortunate puncture.

I had a strange experience about 5km into the race. Everyone seemed to drop out one by one. Then I lost the server connection and rode for a while before grinding to a halt. Wasn't sure if the ride had collapsed. Then it all restarted and Kipster I think sped past. While I was greatfull for the break its a reminder that with bkool you just keep going.

Randy - your goat sessions are paying off - you rode really well. I pushed hard to try and stay with you, i'm out of bkool practice as I couldn't draught you I either went in front of you or dropped way off. I reckon me & you are going to have loads of fun this winter - well done...

I should have stayed in the Velodrome! Good ride up to that point. Weird on the flat, I'm in 53 11 spinning like mad and it puts out less than 200 watts and everyone disappears into the distance. On an incline I get some resistance get the watts up to about 400 and pull everyone back! Yet in the velodrome I was hitting 800 to 1000 watts (briefly) a couple of weeks ago which is a flat course.
I was blowing a gasket trying to keep up with Rick and then headed a strange screeching from the back, looked and the back was flat. It might have been part of the problem I suppose. Odd to puncture on the turbo? I'll have a look tomorrow and see, I suspect a pinch flat....

Whorty what happened
The software didn't recognise that I was in the race!!! I logged off 3 times and no good. Tried other rides and they were the same. Tried the race a 4th time and it then recognised me. By then I was 6 minutes behind  very frustrating! I didn't push it too hard but still managed a PB ... and still 40 seconds behind you, so well done :hugs:

Thats not good i seen u leaving and rejoining and was wondering what was going on
Yes, was strange. It let me start, kind of, and I could roll down hill but it wasn't recognising me pedaling so when I got to a flatter area I rolled slower. I wanted to get into the race though even though I was so far behind. I did manage to catch the one rider, which is possibly the first time ever  I either getting faster, or he waited for me LOL
