and even with your injuries you are much faster than me, dont rush back to full fitness will you :okay:

It sure did Monte - I was toasted on the final climb but somehow just kept grinding it out. Think that ranks as one of the biggest efforts I've put in on Bkool.

Great race Bill Runar and Jonbon.

Now that was the closest to a proper race - We had to work together - no-one was going to solo that first section and survive. :hugs::hugs:

.......Oh and Bob :hello: :wahhey:

:notworthy::hugs:
Just got back from 4 hours on interviewing job applicants to watch my name tumble down the list. Well done all, even Rick and his soggy knees:angry:

wow, what an effort from Runar, Bill & Rick... massive kudos - hope my encourage helped !!!

Thanks Monte. Definitely a big help and you gave me the idea that Rick and I needed to somehow drop Runar if possible. Not that it ultimately worked but for a while there I thought there was a chance.

Frustrated or what - lost my session with 1.7 miles to go. I think I' ll have to get my internet connection sorted before I carry on with the leagues.
Sorry to hear that you were so close to the end, I feel your frustration I'm having similar issues and After 3 times on that course with no time despite over 60km I feel the same as you :cry:

Yeah the drafting seemed to work really well at that speed and we seemed to get quite good a keeping it together. I seemed to hit a couple of Randys little wormholes during the flat riding but just waited a bit for you two to catch up. At the start of the big hill I hit a bigger one and it could have helped me by 30 seconds or so. Anyone else hit wormholes out of interest?

Had to let you go on the last flat in order to have some power up the hill. I don't think I have been that out of breath and exhausted on the Bkool before. I think I've pulled a muscle in my right calf as well.

But it sure was nice to catch you guys up that last hill :bicycle::hyper:

Well done Runar. I tried everything to hold you off but even at 400watts which I couldn't hold for long, you were still pulling me in. Well played in your strategy too. Letting me and Rick go and saving yourself for the hill worked well although I'm sure the result would have been the similar had you stayed with us right to the start of it.

Something happened towards the end of your ride (as Runar passed you) from a spectator view looked like you missed a gear or something similar as you lost your pace and needed to pick the speed up again...

Initially I tried to be cheeky and draft Runar but it just wasn't going to happen. I did slow but I think it was just me settling for second and then I speeded up a bit for the finish.

I lost your draft for a while and worked hard to catch up. In fear of overtaking you, I slowed just a bit to early and saw you disappear again. I had to conserve some energy to the hill but it was disappointing to see you disappear.

Understood Berty. You were too bust chewing stem to pay attention to who was writing the messages.:laugh:
