Just got the "You have been challenged and beaten" mail.
Pro-minanator, that is just a supernatural "GallartaArgalario" effort :notworthy:.

Oh, and StefanK1973 set a reference time in the 4th stage of the Chain Gang league. I may take advantage of his ghost tomorrow (somehow that just didn't sound right )

Spent the weekend at the twice yearly family get together thining my blood with red wine and or Guiness.
Perhaps that was my problem last week as I'd hadn't touched a drop of red wine for 8 weeks.
Also having a 4 day break worked wonders.

I new I could better my previous Goats ride as I had just followed Bill just to see how things went with Classic vs Pro.
I was quite suprised how much speed carry over the Pro gets even on quite minor gradient transitions and how long the transition goes on for.

I even manage to post a reasonable time previewing this weeks Chaingang ride.
I started with the Chaingang ride with intention of just cruising until I came across the ghost of JacobSkovsgaard, an old adversery who always wipped me on flatter stages but I could mostly better him on climbs, so as I am not sure what point my Christmas visitors arrive I thought I would dig in and give it my best without killing myself..
Considering I'd just worked my ass off on the the goats ride I was well happy with the result but it may just well just be a carrot for everyone else now.

My evening ended with a bang though as my trainer tyre blew on my warm down ride.
I thought I had a kind of brake rubbung sensation, it must have been a blister developing in the tyre creating a 1 per rev miniature speed ramp

Snowed in at the vacation house for the last 48 hours. Trainer is at home, so I'm stuck here drinking bubbly and removing snow rather then slogging up hills... I'll run through the pending rides and get them approved tomorrow for the moose league.

I guess the only "positive" is the blower is acting up, so I've shoveled a fair amount of the 3ft dump by hand.. Including the stuff that sloughs off the metal roof... I'm sore as hell all over and probably got as much cardio and strength work as I would on a good bike climb.

Yes, know him only too well. Unofficial danish Bkool champ, a regular powerhouse, but also a heavy guy.

As I see it, the only one with an even remote chance of beating you, is Ryan.
I'm limited by the software on descends, and have to stay very controlled. If I speed up to more than 70 kph, it floors to 35 kph, and I have to start over. So no chance of doing anything on the descends.
On the ascends you're simply too strong, so that is all about damage control.
Drafting possibilities seems very limited, so not much help there either.

Looks like there's not much point in me doing that stage until it's live.

I can't make the ride on Christmas eve, Star Wars and chinese takeaway have priority, so I will be riding it tonight. I'm not expecting great things as although I've set up the new rear derailier the gear cable has frayed badly over the weekend and has made gear changes interesting and I expect to loose seconds at certain points of the route. Is anyone else planning on riding it tonight? (not wanting to steal people from the main event).

Can't make it Christmas eve either. I think I will do it now (within the next half hour) as a warmup for some UK 100 sessions.

All the time after a really hard effort,If I train with the club and do 5 or 6 hours at threshold I can't get up without blacking out. Spoke to the quack he said not a problem, get up more slowly, if you feel it coming on just squat quickly and it stops it (which works).
Incidentally, once rode to the point that I greyed out on the bike, stopped before the lights went right out...I wouldn't recommend that! A bag of jelly babies and a couple of cans of coke cured it.

It was funny to ride stage 4 of the chaingang league yesterday: it is a local stage and I know the real thing. I found it too short for a stage but hard enough: the last climb is hard so for those riding on christmas eve... save for the end.

Just as I thought. I lost more than 3 minutes to Pro-minator just on those two downhill sections in "Cinctorres-Morella", and there doesn't seem to be anything I can do about it. If I pedal faster, I go slower:blink:. I'm totally in the hands of gravity.

I get a feeling that this stage is all about damage control:cry:.
