Funny how Cannondale/Garmin don't use them.

If you wish to train wisely get an on line coach, not Vectors, the price will be about the same.
I married a coach but all I got was 42 seats!
Unfortunately I completely lack the discipline you good cyclists employ. Two young kids don't help either, although I am really just scrabbling for excuses. Ask me to fit a kitchen or build an extension, I'll stay the distance and complete the task in good time, (although don't ask Mrs. Miggins for a reference), but ask me to train properly for a serious event and I find the path to success littered with Coors Light, pizza and an unparalleled lack of commitment.
That said however, a more content and happy man, you will struggle to find. I also do have a caravan, but the wife bought it off Facebook, and you would struggle to find a less attractive example of towable abode. Even if you did manage to get over the faint fishy smell within, when it rains, position yourself incorrectly and the drips become quite torturous.
I am really looking forward to the triathlon circuit this year, as it will be our first proper year in it, by the end of which if I haven't managed to talk the wife into upgrading it, it will probably mysteriously catch fire.

Hi, can anyone help me? I got a BKool Pro turbo for Christmas and so did my fellow cycling mate. We are unable to appear on our imported route together. I can schedule a session, but he can't see it to join it? Basically, how do we schedule a session we can both ride together in real time?

Once you schedule the session, agree a start time with your pal, you start the ride from the simulator and your pal looks for it under the live tab in the simulator, if they can't find it, they can search for your Bkool username using the filter available at the bottom of the simulator screen.

Hi chaps

I did my first chain gang ride this morning ("The randy roller in Sitka"). I meant to get involved last week but have been struggling to find time...

I completed the course in the rather unimpressive time of 50 odd minutes. I was just wondering why my time isn't showing up on the individual standings. Is it because I'm late to the party or am I doing something wrong?

You have to do the session from the leagues tab in bsim. From anywhere else and it will not count towards the league. Except when it is the Thurs night chaingang or Sat rerun from the Live tab.

Also if you are not using a heart rate monitor the ride has to be approved so may take a little while to show.

not sure what the best power meter currently is.....I would bike an on board one like a rotor or stages. Dont the garmin pedals have to be calibrated every time you use them? And highly vulnerable to crash damage....I would think the garmin team dont use them for a very good reason.....eithr way you are in for £600 - £1k...but dont follow the market very closely so may be there is a better way now?

The prices are coming down as they become more popular and more manufacturers enter the market. Watteam look like a good option, if you have the correct cranks, when they become available. Dual sided for $500. There is one at about $250 coming.

Has anyone else had a problem with elevation when exporting their ride as a .fit file
to Strava, I uploaded a .gpx file to BKool of a ride I do fairly regularly in the real world,
(yep occasionally I do venture into the outside world as well as BKool land!!)
on the BKool site the elevation shows as approx 1500 - 1600 feet of climbing, my Garmin
Edge uploads to Strava it shows the same ride as approx 1400 - 1500 feet, yet when I upload to
Strava via BKool .fit file as a virtual ride it only shows as 900 feet, I`ve uploaded 2 different files
of the ride to BKool and had the same results with both

Confession, I'm not sure if I'll get a chance to do the Randy Roller, so I've set my son on it. He's not as fast or strong as me weighing it at a 55kg he'll have the disadvantage of my weight on the ride. I'll do the ride, maybe tonight if I get a chance or tomorrow. We didn't get out this morning but he needed to do a ride as we are planning a Mallorca ride and he works Saturday so doesn't get out with the club.

If he does it quicker than 40 minutes I'll eat my hat and feel free to add a bit of time as a penalty.
