Looks like my attempt needs a a bit of help to make it into the league table.

I'm sure a couple of others will be along this evening to help me move down the table to my rightful place.
Just give it some help there now Kip along with my own. You beat me! :boxing:

To be fair I didn't expect to even get as quick as I did after a tandem ride this morning.

Ha! No probs mate. I love the banter!

I need / want to get fitter and I'm very pleased I've found this forum. It seems like there's a great balance of fun and competition which suits me fine :okay:

Fair play, I was expecting you and Bobinski to rub my nose in it, legs felt great today, nice warm up 55 miles yesterday must have helped.

Only 8 seconds in it, a nibble on a jelly baby and you'd have pipped it.

Kipster - when you out there? I am out there mid March with a group of 9 of the club lads. Staying in Se Arenal...last time I did colobra/ puig major was in 1995. Had 42 x 21 on my 753 Barry Chick in those days, weighing 11st......shite...13.5 now with 34 x 27........ambition vs ability scale reversed...

LIVING THE DREAM
AAAC, can't believe I'm only one minute behind. I don't think I utilized the on/off technique, other than sprinting on any descend to reach max speed there.
I noticed a few times that your speed dropped instantly when going from a -% to a +%, but not always it seemed (wasn't that one of the things that was supposed to be fixed?).

Chaingang: Jacob snuck in under the cover of darkness and beat my time by 35 seconds today.
I thought the stage closed on the 23rd so I didn't even look before I did a goats ride otherwise I would have challenged him because I probably had another 35 seconds in my legs

Bill? What happened?
Still in a hotel north of Inverness now and still not had much of a sleep since the race. Not the result I was looking for as I only got in 13 laps but I was kind of expecting my hand problem to come back and it did. The pain started after about 2 hours and it got worse as time progressed. I fell off a couple of times and broke my suspension lock out cable which didn't put a stop to things but suspension wasn't as soft as I needed. I got to the point where I could no longer hold onto the bars on the rough technical parts so had to walk those bits which were quite long. Legs were fine still and I was able to pedal up the steep bits but by 2 am I saw that my position was falling off fast so I lost the will to continue. Normally I've always ridden on and completed the 24 hours but I just couldn't do it this time. I think my days of 24 hour racing ate over.
There's plenty other races to be done though and failing that there's always bkool so still plenty fun to be had .
