Geoff, cough up your PayPal email address, as and when you receive a £5 payment send them the new password. It's the easiest solution. If someone has an issue with contributing they are more than welcome to participate in all the other leagues, but to my mind you are providing a service that I, and I know many others are more than happy to pay for.
Lets put this into perspective here....I am quite sure there isn't a single person here that isn't using at least £1500 worth of equipment to use this technology, especially by the time you include, the turbo itself, ipad, laptop, bike, snickers etc So we are talking about contributing a further 0.3% to do the handicaps which I love.
If it turns out there is a shortfall in funds due to lack of contributors, Bill will make up the shortfall....actually...I will!
All those in favour ...say...AYE!

p.s. if no one steps up and gets this sorted we run the danger of over analysing it. I have made the decision on what we are going to do, I just hope the majority will roll with it.
Oooh I do like it when you get all masterful.

My two young boys saw some campaign coverage on TV this morning, when we were in bed. As soon as they both saw the name TRUMP they both were in fits of laughter for ages. They honestly couldn't believe someone would be called Trump.
Their laughter was contagious, we all ended up in stitches.
My son's particularly enjoy that there is a Trump fragrance so you can "smell like Trump"

They spent many gleeful minutes telling each other they must be wearing it as they already smell of trumps.

Rick, Keeping the rides open much longer could lead to one or two unintended consequences. I'm not against it but for the chaingang it's a bit more complicated than the mountain goats. It would probably mean that the quickest times could be had by riding outside of the group races on Thursday and Saturday and instead challenging the ghost that you can draft with and with the power saved, beat it at the end.
Also it's harder to "police" a ride from outside of the main races, for example if we decide to do a rolling start in future to help out the kickrs and make the drafting situation better, then we could all see if someone was not conforming, but if ridden as a solo ride this would not be seen.
Having said that, as long as everyone sticks to any rules that are formulated, it could add to the fun and encourage the use of mind games which are always good IMO.
Good point bill. It's all about the live races after all. I'll program each stage to stay open just a but longer in case someone can't make it to the races bit not indefinitely.

I'll start it at 19:50 - If I start it fom the League Section, I take it you and anyone else will be able to join in.

Parleys Canyon then. I didn't realise it was 1O.2 miles, hopefully we can sort some crafting out.
See you there, not wishing to waste any excuses but legs tired from the last 2 nights and I have just devoured a large Sunday dinner.

I'm open to that idea Adam. I had already considered leaving the rides open a bit longer as even I'm even struggling to fit in the last stage here due to other commitments! What does everyone else think? Will it take away from the league in any way or just increase the competitive spirit? I remember in the bkool summer league replaying some stages just to gain some more seconds to overtake guys in the table! Was good motivation!

On the subject of the chaingang league I'd like it to be as level a playing field as possible regardless of what trainer you use.
Suggestion:
Some guys on kickrs have been struggling with the off the line explosion from us Bkool users, so maybe we could have a gentleman's agreement to have a more sedate start keeping to what we know would be our average watts or thereabouts. Maybe too hard to implement. I know we talked about it before - maybe it wouldn't make that much difference. How much do you think a kickr user loses from the start?

Similarly the on/off technique should be avoided during league sessions.

Just ideas to even things out and encourage more teamwork making it more like real racing. Best sessions ive had were the ones where ive teamed up and drafted with 1 or 2 others.

As i said, we want as level a playing field in the league as far as possible.:hugs:

What says the masses??? :addict:

You know what, all these rules shouldn't have to be put in place by us at all - they are all down to glitches that Bkool themselves should be fixing, and that they've been told about many times

And the problem with putting extra rules in place is that new people are constantly joining our leagues and it's confusing enough just joining a league ride properly for the first time (not to mention the hoops Geoff, and we have to jump through to make a handicap race work!), let alone knowing to follow extra rules about starting etc.

I'm extremely happy to contribute to Geoff's subscription as it seems only fair and right, but you know who should really pay for his subscription - Bkool themselves! Even better, they should pay him to advise how to improve their software and make it actually user-friendly!
