Adam on fire!:notworthy: Absolutely no chance of catching u and AAAC.

Early start again! I had to unclip and stop my tyre with my shoe. Then turn my fan on. But a clean start would have made no difference to my time today. Just wanted to try and keep TT and Monte at bay:okay:
Yes sorry Bob, I started warmup late because of the rugby, but decided to start the session at 10 past... I now realise that might have caught a few out. I forgot HRM and everything, it was a bloody shambles this end....

mightily miffed today, enjoying a cracking velodrome session when I found myself behind the numpty of the group. He managed to clip the rider in front of him, fell of in front of me at just about the steepest part. I hit him or his bike as its directly in front of me, over the bars and land on my left shoulder. X-rays confirm a broken collarbone, Mallorca is three weeks away, arrrggghhh. The drive home was none too easy either. At least I can spin the legs up on the turbo, but I won't be competing or doing any routes that require me to change up or down on the front.
Nooo that really sucks sorry to hear that. Mind you yay for collarbones natures shock absorbers to save your shoulder

My hope was to stay with Tommy and Monte, then as Tommy came past on the first bit of uphill I decided to change off my front cog to try and stay with him for slip stream and the damn chain jumped off and got jammed up in the cog, by the time I had freed it off you had both disappeared up the road.

Kipster sorry to hear your bad news, I had a situation 18 months ago, took a nasty mountain bike fall, broke my femur where it goes into your hip (clean brake) 10 days before our 10 wedding anniversary where we booked a villa in Portugal for 3 weeks... My wife still reminds me on a regular basis...

Tommy, fair play to you - I pushed hard to stay with you but you dropped me going downhill on that last section. Thanks for keeping me motivated.

AAAC you really are an animal...

Was never catching bob. You were just teasing me, controlling a nice lead.

Glad to stay ahead of monte and Soarer in the end. Monte you went past me when I was blue and at 40 odd mph! So I waited for that little incline at about mile 13 and peddled like a bat out of hell (if they could ride a bike that is) and luckily I got past and it stuck!

On the blue speed thing. I think consensus is once going down hill and figures are in the blue ease off because it makes no difference. Perhaps it does. 3 times on the downhills I was in blue but pedalled like my old hamster and speed increased and went white while spinning out. Really wanted a non compact chain set and I might have gone faster. Actually I want a 1x11.

Ahhh, I feel you pain. Had a serious crash 2 years ago and missed the gran fondo TT qualification. I broke my collarbone in 2 places and it jumped out of place at the shoulder, but the worst was the ribs.
I did not have surgery, so my shoulder is a bit of a freak show, but it works ok. I too had a Mallorca trip planned, but that was 2 months later, so it didn't really interfere with my cycling other than the fitness I lost.
As I remember I was on the turbo two weeks after the crash.

Hope your ribs didn't get the same treatment as mine did and that you have a speedy recovery.

I have a suspicion that you are part greyhound Adam. If you have something to chase you are after it!
Lol!
I thought you might stay with me a bit longer. Sorry I didn't wait but miffed in a friendly way with Adds for another tricky start . so wanted to give chase, to no avail of course.
Anyway, Soarerv8, you have heard of fagging?..,,
I was pacing myself honest!
