Away visiting family for the Easter weekend and in danger of therefore missing the final chaingang stage

Would it be wrong to take the Bkool with me I wonder....?

I'm sure none of my family are likely to consider this slightly weird and a bit obsessive are they...?
I too am away for the next week. Heading over to Belgium, I suspect therefore probably best not to try and get anything big and bulky like the trainer through customs at the moment.

I think handicap sessions are best when the slowest (me ) take 40-50 minutes and the quickest about 30 minutes. Any longer and it becomes a lower level of effort not a max level.

My legs went bang last night and could not deliver any more, but due to the length I could push on and finish :bicycle:. The thought of trying to do that over 1 and a 1/2 hours in not attractive :headshake:.
I second this!!! When my fitness gets a bit better then I'll be at the the back with @theboxers and being chased for 1.5 hours does not sound that appealing :bicycle: unless it's by Bananarama :okay:

Given that you were clocking in well under my times just a few months ago, I doubt it'll take too long before you'll catch back up.

It's set to close on the Saturday which will likely mean it closes at some random time on sunday 3rd if things go as they normally do. Couldn't leave it open for long as I have to start a new league the next week. You away over that weekend Bridgey?

Sorry @RickB I'm getting my dates mixed up - it's this coming Easter weekend I'm away - forgot there's another stage after this one!

As it stands I might manage to do it tomorrow, but if not I see this next stage says it closes on Tuesday 29th so I should be able to do it next Monday if I need to (unless I do actually take the Bkool away with me!). Cheers.

I tend to agree, which is why I think Stage 1 from this months Chain Gang might be a good one. Your time was 47:19 and AAAC was 33:14, so that fits perfectly.

I'm really looking for a flat finish to encourage a few sprints for the line! :hyper:

Ah, you'll be grand as it'll likely still be open on the wednesday even. Enjoy you're break!

You call that running out of juice? My legs felt like jelly and I couldn't stay with you for more than a second when you passed me.

I had recovered slightly by then but still nowhere near how I was at the start. I wonder how things would have panned out if you had started at exactly the same time as me and we drafted? That would probably have saved our energy until the second half while propelling us quicker than we did actually ride. I think the results would have been very different;).
@gbrown would it be an infringement of the rules for someone to start later than their allocated time as a strategic move to improve their drafting prospects?

I hope I get some fitness back. Been a tough few months. But I'll get there

I don't like that Rick, Adam and Paul are 2 minutes ahead of us but I do like that Lars is starting with me. There's going to be some serious drafting going on.

I quite fancy running this for the first time next Tuesday, or is everyone on Easter hols?

No times recorded for this stage for Handicap regulars @kapelmuur, @Baldo Mero, @JLaw, @Ste Corny, @Alfie_Gooner and @Rod

I'm sure we can set you off around others of similar level, but if any of you guys, or anyone else who fancies joining in, can set a time (or already have) let me know and I'll factor it in.

I remember that chuffer :cursing:. The flat and down that was anything but flat :B). Miles 7 thru 9.3 kicked my :mrpig: arse :surrender:.

Edit to add. Mile 5.5 to 6.5 hurt like blazes as well :crazy:

Yep could be a fun one to have a pop at again :headshake: Did I just say that out loud

Woah what's going on there Geoff I reckon someone must have nicked my bike and put that time in, I am a bit too close to the big boys on the playground.

Although thinking about it I am flouncing around in Europe next week so don't even know why I am worried about it.
