Sorry bridgy, I think I kept breaking it up. I am afraid Bill will be a bit frustrated with my lack of tactical acumen. I will try harder on the next one which should suit group riding more. Personal best times for both of us I think:okay:

Not at all Bob. The drafting was hard for us all I think because of the course terrain. It felt like we were all holding each other up as we passed each other then waited. Our result would probably be better on that course if we had just all gone flat out and ignored the drafting. I assume it was the same for all teams.

Bkool doesn't make it easy to catch the finishes, as it is very keen to slap a great big box over the screen as soon as the first person crosses the line, so I have to hang back and watch the finish from a distance. Very hard with such a chaotic finish, but it is worth a watch! :bravo::bravo::bravo::bravo:

well done @Insomina I found draughting really difficult and felt I messed up the 1st half - also I might of over done it recently, that's the trouble when the better weather comes your doing both road & virtual rides. Thanks for a great ride
I thought you were great the first half and I was taking all the advantage so much so that I knocked 2m 10 sec off my previous time.

Got to be harder with just 2 riders - think we should be reinstated for that reason!

Thanks for the draft.

I think we all struggled to keep that one tight Bob. As you say, the next one should hone our skills. Better to be in at the deep end though, and get easier.
The next one has some nice descents / flat bits, one is nearly 3km which should be really good for drafting. The first 3 miles is mostly a small climb.

I just saw you pull up alongside me Bill, and I thought, there's no way he's beating me to the line. Not sure who crossed first, it was mighty close.

sorry for letting you both down - cut my ride short outside so i had plenty of time but internet and computer played up - i dont even deserve a DNF more like a DNS !!

Don't worry, you have a week to post a time, in fact if either you or Soarerv8 post a time that would give you a moving time for a third place finish and qualify your team. Obviously, if you can draft each other that would help the time, if you can't all of Team Green get together for a re-run you could always draft their ghosts!

I know this is not how TTT works for the Pro's, but hey this is a Virtual world with Virtual rules!

Actually, it's a virtual world with Geoff's rules, and that suits me.

Adam, I'd say you just held him off...

Current Standings

Team White = 31:19
Team Not Red = 33:47
Team Blue = 33:49
Team Green = n/a

Just two seconds between Red and Blue, so I guess that Handicap was spot on!

Perhaps the Handicap for White was a little generous, but you guys went quick.
Whorty, you took over 3 minutes of your previous time.

Team Green looked to on a pace for just under 33:00, so Handicap was perhaps a minute out?

Prize for best bunching goes to Not Red, with just 5 seconds between 1st and 3rd, which kept you just in front of Blue
Blue also bunched well, with only 10 seconds between 1st and 3rd.

Hope you all enjoyed it, please let me know who is up for next Tuesday and if anyone else wants to join in.

Also, give a shout out here if any of you plan a team re-run to improve your standing.

Geoff
Thanks Geoff, first one I've done and really enjoyed it despite my dodgy pacing. Handicap was probably a bit generous but I'll take it^_^:becool:
