So how about we try an individual weight Handicap next Tuesday?

Just sign up here, be allocated a weight, set that weight before the ride and see how you get on.

You can ride it at any time during the week, but those who's motivation is improved by the sight of others just in front (Adam and Bill, you know who you are) should enjoy the added bonus of a suddenly emaciated @theboxers flying up the hill in front...

I suggest I setup a league stage with 3 laps of the Merry Harriers as a trial run, so we keep target times below 30 minutes.

Here are my initial calculations on target weights (taken from this months Bonus sprint 2)...

user Handicap Kg
AAAC 76C 97.7
Bridgy 96.3
Bill S 87.7
Adski 87.4
John18 82.5
TurboTommy 79.9
CXRAndy 78.7
Bobinski 75.1

bazzer99 68.2
RamirezAGC 66.6

On reflection the power went out when I put my HRM on yesterday. Coincidence? I'm not so sure.......

I do hope that your
View attachment 128071 I might be around a little less, outdoors rides, trips, holidays and a little more off road on my newly built ride

Bling! Bling! Surely you don't want to take that outside and get it dirty.

i got rained off today so after unpairing all devices then repairing , blowing tyre up to max , i had another go at last nights ride - hope it counts as nothing left in tank now !! just one more to go now and we will have a qualifying time - a day late - not bad for team green ^_^
Nice one. Good time too:bicycle:.

Did the last of the Spring sessions tonight. I remembered it from earlier in the year apart from the hill at the end - that hill was a killer. I was wiped out at the end. I seem to struggle to maintain a good pace on the flat  so had no energy for the final climb. Did manage a PB though so not all bad. Good luck to those doing it tomorrow evening. :notworthy:

Sounds good. I'm probably going to hid the road more now so will do less turbo work - plus the wife wants the bike out of the conservatory but, will do as many as I can, especially if the weather outside is cr#p.

Didn't get that heavy until I was 171/2 and stayed like that, give or take, until I was 44.

At the age of 161/2 I was issued my No2 Dress Uniform (tunic and trousers) along with the rest of the Army clobber.
I still had the self same tunic and trousers when I left at the age of 40.
Admittedly it was a little large when I was 161/2 at 5'9 but at 6' a year and a half later it was spot on!

Well done, you got exactly the same moving time as Bazzer (38:42)! Did you follow his ghost across the line? ;)

If only you'd been able to help each other...
set my old ghost ,Bazzer,a few bots and optimistically Kipster - felt good as i hadn't had much to do today - but can't do any more i promise

Since you were almost exactly 4 Watts/kg your weight is unchanged and gives a good benchmark for the others.

4 Watts/Kg seemed a good level to aim for, as it kept everyone's weight below 100 Kg (don't think the simulator works too well much above 100 Kg), between 50 and 100 Kg seemed a good range.

If the trainer resistance is the same as the real world, everyone should be around your time (not sure this is how it will pan out)!

I'll setup the league and check out as many results on the Merry Harriers and fine tune the Handicap weights for next week.
