Just made a couple of catch up rides in the leagues. Firstly don't go on holiday and expect to keep your peak fitness:cry: I even had 2 spin sessions whilst away.

Second... I think I have been hit with the Bkool bug on the handicap ride. I put out reasonably decent power numbers but was very slow in speed. The session said there was a loss of signal:angry:

I think I am last in that league. Must try harder:smile:

I know what you mean. Went away to Austria for 4 days, Come back 2kg heavier and fitness shot. I did manage the 2nd Bonus sprint last night. Any chance someone could approve it for me please?

Lost signal
Maximum time in seconds of sequential samples which repeat the same speed and power values, or heart rate or cadence signal goes to 0 value.

I would even take tips from you AAAC. What do you suggest???

Bill I'm no coach but from a purely mathematical aspect I would make two points.
I am not sure that the BKool effort % effort rating is based solely on power, I think it uses HR as well, so to test this do a few rides without an HRM.
Personally I would not run lower tyre pressures just because of the climbing , a lot of your drag and therefore indicated power loss could be cause by the TP.
On another note if you are feeling worn down take a rest and do a few recovery rides instead of beating yourself in the leagues.

Thanks AAAC. Some good advice there I think. I do like to try and stay in the running in at least the Chain gang league though, as I find it a great motivator. I therefore need to try and do them all so catching up a bit this week before the sessions close. It's tough on worn out legs, but as you know it's more fun for us all if the racing is close. Tomorrows will be a bit of a write off after tonight's effort, but the main effort for stage3 will be Saturday. So don't wait for me tomorrow as my top speed will be slow. But yeah, once I'm caught up I'll probably start doing some recovery rides.

Blimey, some of you have been busy tonight. Making me feel positively lazy! Note to self - must try harder. Right, back to the tele and large bag of M&m's ^_^

Bridgy breezes the bonus Sprint 2. I gave it a good go with my best power over Sprint distance:okay:
Only 5 seconds ahead of you - I wouldn't call that breezing it! I had a go at bonus sprints 1 as well and beat you by almost exactly the same margin - both very close!

I then did about 3/4 of tomorrow's stage but took it quite easy - even that was tough though! It's going to be a long, hard slog tomorrow and I for one am not really looking forward to it! It's flatish but with lits of short gradient changes - never any long downhills to freewheel down though....

P.S I didn't put any ghosts in the bonus sprints - those time gaps were pure coincidence!

sorry i couldnt make 8 - had a go at 7 after a belly full of veggy volcano pizza and found out the hard way that it wasn't a good idea ! will have another go before the weekend !

Berty, just realised by looking at the splits view from Tuesdays ride that you and I took almost a whole 2 minutes getting to the start point whereas the 8:00 rabble did it in about 1:08 so they had about a 50 sec start on us.

And Andy did it in zero seconds!

CXRAndy 0:00:00,0/ 0:00:00,0

Something very wrong with Andy's session, since he had the highest watts/Kg and was by far the slowest, despite averaging more watts than everyone apart from the fastest two!
