I don't know if it's me or the course but I found that one of the hardest for a LONG time :heat:

Thanks for the bit of drafting Bill & AAAC but I was hanging on by a thread most of the time and just couldn't stay with you at the end

How silly of me to think i could stay in front on AAAC, Bill and Bridgy:rolleyes: Still, kinda fun trying:smile:
Andy! great ride:okay: Enjoyed that tussle too. Perhaps if we were both strong enough to work together we might have troubled bridgy^_^
Well done all:bicycle:

If the course was much longer than that you'd have definitely troubled me - I could see you gaining but had very little left to respond with!

I struggled a lot at the start with sore legs but by half way I was feeling much better. I certainly didn't expect to come across the leaders again. Cheers for the drafting Andy. I knew you'd get the hint after flying past me a few times

I was surprised to catch you up Bill. I thought I had you then you woke up and just left me behind. Well done for getting to the front :okay:

I wasn't going to do the ride tonight, but changed my mind and glad I did. I only managed 50 minutes (which for the fasties would be a whole ride, for me wasn't!) but it was fun riding with @Goldwolfie and @Rob - much stronger riders than me, but I enjoyed it whilst I stayed with them :okay:

Was actually 10 mins into the ride when I noticed that 20 seconds ahead GW and Rob seemed to be together. I buried myself to catch them up and managed to stick with them, just about, for the next 40 mins. Although I think they were waiting for me quite a few times as I struggled to keep up.

I was pretty shot when a rider called Scott caught us up. I didn't know how much GW and Rob had left so I used the last of my energy trying to tire him out. I was hoping I could sap some energy so that GW and Rob could then stick with him, but alas i crashed and burned. Sorry guys

Slight confession. I forgot to change my weight back to normal. It shouldn't have had agreat deal of difference on a flat course.

Still I frightened Bob and Bill for a while ^_^ Whoever admins please disregard my time.

Watch out if I ever get to that weight in real life

Bill I suspected you had been tired by bridgy and AAAC' s usual explosive start and needed time to re energise and then come back. I kept watching out for you and trying to stay away from you. But by the time you were coming back I had wron myself out trying to stay with them too! I wanted to draft with you but couldn't keep up. I slowed to about 30kmh dejected beyond all reason and was grateful that light weight Andy caught me, it spurred me on. The next time I looked up at the top left of the screen you were in front.

Bridgy, I think Bill has put a virus in the system that is eating Watts.
I was surprised by the quick start today, especially Bob, and once I was out in front I thought I would crack on but my legs were quickly emptying so I decided to share the strain and drop back for you.
As usual you down-hilled better than me so I made my best effort to put a burst in on the climb transitions to get a bit of a sling going and then accept that you would catch me on the next slope down, which you generally did.
Then Bill showed up so I thought why not share the pain three ways however as good a drafting course that it should have been those saw tooth graphics seem to disrupt the draft and visually made it hard to follow, most frustrating when you knackered.
I guess your legs died toward the end as Bill and I left you on the climbs however I was then hanging onto Bill suffering a thousand cuts.
My derriere started playing up halfway through so if either yourself or Bill had of gone by and left me behind I probably would have (and should have) climbed off.
I did have a go at that 2.1 km bonus sprint half an hour before the start so perhaps I left some of my watts on the Hill (well that's my excuse)..

Having moved my commuter onto the turbo I noticed my calves were hurting a lot during a ride. Just measured pedal at low point to saddle and turns out distance is 2 and a bit cm longer on the commuter. Seems saddle/seat post on best bike has lowered over time no doubt due to furious pedalling against during our sessions together. If I am not careful I am going to turn into Eddy Mercx constantly fiddling with saddle height.

Actually, the quick starts kill me every time. If I don't try and stay with you 3 then the gap gets so big there's no way I can come back. You are all too strong. But if I don't try, if I just settle for that every time I won't get any quicker. And so I have no choice but to chase from the off and hope over time I get stronger and can stay with you longer. About 10k today ^_^ But I am shattered:blush:. Mind you, I got home after 6 on the bike and realised I had forgotten my keys. So I had to rush on the bike to where Ms B was eating with another family, setting a personal best on Strava long the way and then rush back. Just got on the turbo 7 mins into the warm up, necking a banana as I did. So, not an ideal start BUT these awkward starts and things going wrong do tend to spur me on. Anyway, I am going to carry on chasing you 3 otherwise you might kick me out of team blue:stop:^_^

Yes very enjoyable i think we worked good as a team I wouldn't say I'm any stronger rider than u I think me u and gw where pretty evenly matched except on any climbs where u both stuff me it definitely helps when we work together not just in drafting but the mental aspect where we try hard to stay together and keep pushing ourselves to try that bit harder its all good fun and training
