Next stage is only 5 km and 'flat'.
We might be able to help each other. It opens at the weekend so we can give it a look see to judge how suitable for drafting it is but at 5 km it will be bells out from the start and wait for no man so we would need to see how close we stay in the opening km. Stage 7 is mountain and 8 flat.
Perhaps we could drag some willing help in from the rest of the gang to grab and advantage.
Now you got me going, some could set off on time and wait at strategic points and we start late to grab their wheels later.
Skulduggery in the making!

Edit
Compete in the Olympics with Cofidis!
Thursday, August 4 at 8:00 pm (GMT+2)

Our Bkool Summer Cup Cofidis Challenge arrives with a spectacular backdrop: the time trial route at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Feel like an Olympic cyclist, competing along with users from different countries in an incredible Challenge.

Remember that to participate you will have to select the session called the "Grumari Circuit (RIO 2016 TT)", which will be highlighted in the LIVE section on your simulator as of the time indicated.

Is that 8pm UK time AAAC?

I am interested in helping:okay:

Sounds like a plan if we can get together for that 5km (stage 6) one. xco Rio I think. And with some extra help too
Like you say, Bells out from the start and just try to stay together although no waiting. Hopefully I can stay with you for some of it and give us both a boost.
Bob, you're in the Cup too so hopefully we can all gain an advantage.
Any preferred time to do this? Bearing in mind Chaingang and Handicap weight league times.

Although I was feeling quite good tonight, I'm not sure how accurate that ride from me was - I had a section when I got up speed on the flat to 33-34mph and just kept spinning at that speed for ages - my watts were showing ridiculously high, like 500-700! Was it this course where you had very high watts Bill, and it put your fitness up a few levels?

Wow I wasn't expecting to see you win by that much Paul. :wahhey: And you made 500W normalized power:notworthy: Well done!!
AAAC I just couldn't stay with you and although I tried to catch up at the end a few times, you had an answer for me each time.

Well done all for your quick times and massive power outputs:thumbsup:

Well, as per my post above, I think the watts are exaggerated - even though I was pushing really hard and feeling good

That was the one Paul, but it didn't work so well for me this time or last. The first time I did it on my own it put me up to elite1.

Damn that was tough. I knew AAAC would just keep pumping high watts throughout the race, but I was waiting for Bill and Paul drop down to a more humane level. It just never happened and after 15 minutes in the red zone with an avg. of 375 watt I just had to get the pulse down a bit. Bill & Paul, you seem to have taken a step up the fitness ladder :notworthy:, so I'll have to do +100% sessions to keep up.

The Watts registered by my BePros were considerably lower, something like 50 watts lower, but I forgot to end the ride on my Garmin so I didn't save it to Strava.
