You didn't post the wrong place, but it's just that this thread gets so much more attention. I think most of the admins are either on vacation, or busy getting the most out of the remaining summer. Geoff, aren't' you Chaingang and Mountain Goat admin as well?

I am, but I wasn't sure it would still let me accept members, since I have lapsed my premium membership I can no longer setup leagues or accept classifications, so I leave those leagues to Rick and Bill. However, accepting members does still seem to work, so I've sorted it.
I see, I'll just have to be patient, right now the weather is awesome anyway :sun:

No need for patience any more, you're in! :welcome:

If you want to join the Handicaps we are running a short weight handicap climb tonight, I just need to know your FTP average power and you can apply to join here...

Tonight's Handicap Chase is a special Handicap Climb with adjusted rider weights to equalize Watts/Kg

Session is password protected, password is announced in the main thread as soon as they session is up and running!

Course is Merry Harriers (3 times)

The warm-up will start close to 8:00pm BST (UTC+1) to ensure the race starts around 8:10pm BST (UTC+1).

Everyone taking part should adjust their weight to the allocated value before entering the warm up, preferably with at least 5 minutes to go.

Weights are generally reduced, in some cases considerably, to achieve the target Watts/Kg, so speeds should be higher than usual. The main part of the session should not take more than around 20 minutes, and in any case less than 30 minutes, to avoid changing Fitness Levels. Anyone taking longer than 30 minutes would be advised to discard their session without saving.

The Start (for everyone) should be between 8:05 and 8:10, when the warm-up ends.

Once underway, there is a short neutralized zone (0.0625 miles or 0.1 km) to avoid taking advantage of the lowered resistance at start, where no-one is allowed to overtake @JLaw (or if he is not present, you must gradually increase speed to a maximum of 20 mph (32 kph) until you pass the 0.0625 (0.1 km) point.

If anyone else wants to take part, please can you let us know here and we can work out a weight Handicap from your FTP power value or similar.

Great, thanks a lot Geoff!

The handicap run sounds like fun, I will try to join next time. My FTP has increased from 324 to 355 but I guess that's because of the bug in the Bkool software. A lot of blue numbers when going uphill.

Damn just didn't have the legs in the last half mile . Well done @Goldwolfie :cursing:. Maybe next time .

I did improve by nearly 2 minutes though :wahhey:. But maybe doing the Summer Cup stage 10 before hand was not such a good idea :headshake:.

Hurst tomorrow night I think .

I had to really dig deep to get passed you and JLaw on the last climb, and it was a PB for me on that course. Martin was well clear and I think Geoff will be adding a bit of lead to his saddle before next week.

As you say, maybe next time, but I think it is looking good for team White when it comes to the TTT.

Sorry guys, was planning to join tonight but got back in from work late. Might try and have a ride tomorrow night (and do as TB did and ride Stage 10 of Summer Cup). Damn this work lark getting in the way of BKool

I just didn't have anything left for the last mile -- as y'all caught up from my jack-rabbit start I didn't have anything left in the tank to hang on.

Happy with the effort though, looks like my best 20 minute effort (watt-wise) of the summer.

Anyone ridden a single speed on BKool? I've got a spare few hundred quid to waste and thinking of getting a SS. Used to have a Charge Plug when lived in London until some scrote knicked it and would love a new SS. If you have tried, what gearing do you go with?

Could work well with the ERG mode,, at least on some of the courses. Wouldn't fancy doing mont Ventoux or Alpe d'Huez on one though .
