Thanks guys, that needed some digging in at the end, esp after doing stage 9 yesterday. The first thing my wife said was that I'll get a lot more weight next time. Enjoyed it

it is looking good for team White when it comes to the TTT.

What is "team white" if you don't mind me asking

Could work well with the ERG mode,, at least on some of the courses. Wouldn't fancy doing mont Ventoux or Alpe d'Huez on one though .
ha ha, me neither. But could be good on lumpy courses without big climbs. And in the velodrome to get cadence practice

SWMBO knows a thing or two about Geoff and his  side.

Team Blue, Not Red, Green and White were the Handicap Team Time Trial colours. 4-6 members per team graded on past performance and then grouped together and given a stating time. Good fum had by all iirc

Edit to add the colours go with the ratings on bkool for the most part.
Elite blue
Pro green
Active Red Pro and active colours may be the wrong way round
Amateur Yellow

Something I'm afraid you'll not be allowed to join, given you've been smashing my times on BKool over the last few days .... I think you're more suited to Team Not Red

Sorry Whorty

TTT sounds like fun
No probs - you've clearly taken to BKool very quickly. You'll be hooked soon and your whole life will revolve around the leagues. You'll forget that cycle can be an outdoor sport, and within months the sun will burn you if you ever leave your pain cave (ask @BILL S  )

The winter TTT rides were really good fun. Looking forward to them starting up again :okay:

Great ride by Rick tonight to win the Bkool velodrome event :notworthy:
Just didn't have the staying power to keep with you, chapeau :okay:
Thanks Jon.

Honestly wasn't sure if I could stay with you after the first few laps but got a few seconds and managed to hold on.

Power levels seem ridiculously high though. Think I averaged 380-390 watts for the event. That seems way off as I couldn't average 300 last week on a standard up and down course.

Looks like I'll be starting to get back onto Bkool again a bit from here onwards.

Anyone have a good winter training programme they could recommend to get me built up for next season's road racing? Still weak on the hills so need more power and higher threshold (I think!)

Perky is prime candidate to make team `not so red` probably/addition Or replacementfor me until I get another Bkool trainer. The kickr is no match for speed.

Besides the other guys would be able to hear each other without my big fan in the background:laugh:

Hi guys, unfortunately summer is coming to an end. My trainer is getting dust since last spring, and I am not precisely looking forward for the short days and the sweaty evenings in the garage. But I miss you guys a little, so will come back as soon as summer saving time is over!. Have to shop for a fan though :heat:.
P.S. Spending next week in Copenhagen with some spare hours on friday: any recommendation for a road bike rental place & ride?

roasting here at moment so no chance of me bkooling in shed but i am on my way soon ! be nice to see if team green still have the same style - very rarely seen all together - sometimes not even in the same race !! i like to think we were the artful dodgers of race night - likeable scamps but have a tendancy to be thinking of something else ! - my old teacher said when plowing the field of life focus on something in the distance and head to it - then said that i had focused on a cow!
cant wait  - hope caruthers has kept soarerv8 s pain chalet spick and span
