I am in active 1. With a w/kg 3.1. But I have done a couple of rides which were 3.6 I think. It's not that important, only a self esteem kind of thing.

I am the best, I am the best. There is no place like home, clicking heels
Hi Andy - I'm wondering if the same as happened to Berty - averaging of the watts of two rides done on the same day - is the reason your fitness level hasn't changed? You've done the high watts in the velodrome, followed by the short Col De Madeleine ride for the league stats and I reckon it's this which has lowered your average watts so it hasn't raised your fitness level as a result. As I said, I never knew this was a thing until today but it certainly looks like that's what's happening to me....

Actually, seeing someon's fitness level is really easy - just click on their name and it's under their photo on the right of their profile page - can't believe I missed this before!
Actually, I'm not going mad - I can see Berty's fitness level in this way but not Andy's - must be a privacy setting on your profile I guess?

I'm just writing an email to Bkool to point out some ongoing problems with the website since the "update" and ask if they're aware and resolving them. So far I have:

- Leagues only showing current active stages so you can't see upcoming stages in active leagues or any individual stages in past leagues.
- Within a league stage results, clicking on the number of attempts for any rider, used to bring up more details about the ride - this now gets an error page.
- Unable to add additional ghosts when you challenge someone's ride (just the challenged rider)

Any other problems I've missed and should add to my email?
Unable to upload video routes...

Saturday morning was the rescheduled Snowbird Hill Climb race out here in Utah. It was pushed back a week due to snow. I haven't ridden the course in the real world since the 2008 race (1:18), but was clocking in 1:15 in the simulator. Sorry, no video as my gopro was acting up -- don't ever stick an exfat formatted memory card into a gopro...

Turnout was very low... 20 years ago we'd see ~350 riders. I'd estimate ~250 in 2008 and records show 160-ish in 2014/2015. Saturday morning I'd have to guess it was < 100. No evidence of sponsors this year and minimal support from Snowbird and Sandy City. With the weak turnout there's *far* fewer riders to chase or passing, so it felt much more like a solo morning ride up the canyon. When combined with the wind I ended up with a fairly disappointing 1:28.

There's still real world riding to do out here, but the window for big climbs is closing fast. I've still got a fighting chance at 1:25 on my benchmark ride (which shares much of the Snowbird Hillclimb route), but finding windows of opportunity to ride it is the hard part. In fact, it's snowing in the canyon right now...

This is really annoying, as I can't look through the chaingang results for suitable stages for this months Handicap.

At this rate, there won't be a Handicap this week, as I have to publish tonight, and I am out this evening.

Which sessions have you done Martyn?

Edit: Unfortunately, according to the results, you have not done any of the rides. You are definitely in the group so I can only suggest that you have not ridden your rides from the league tab or ridden with us on our group rides on Thursdays or Saturdays (I don't remember seeing you). The other way is by challenging someone's ride from the league results page, but you would still look for that ride in the Leagues tab.
How have you been setting up your rides?

I have 't started the chaingang, I'm going to start that tonight now that the educated have taught the masses how to do the velodrome stage. My query was related to the handicap league. The league has my first three stages shown but I did the fourth and isn't part of the final table. My sessions shows it with the little cup next to it, indicating it was part of the league.

@JLaw are you doing a top 100 again this year. I enjoyed doing the long list a couple a week and would have completed them, I think,. had I not got ill for more than 6 weeks, xx(, at the beginning of this year. I think a repeat of the original list would be good enough for me, just to see how I've improved .

Berty, the ride where you got Elite 3, but were riding under-weight isn't really Bkool's fault to be fair, as it would just be applying a watt/kg figure which would obviously be skewed by the low weight.

I've just looked at your Bkool profile and it looks like Bkool re-calculated your fitness level on 1st Oct as you haven't done an FTP test since you did the ride where you went to Elite 3, and 2 months have elapsed. What it seems to have done though is taken the average watts from the TWO rides you did on 1st Oct - one was the 122% effort you mentioned but the other was only 78% - maybe your warm down ride? I must admit I never knew it used average watts for more than one ride done on the same day to calculate fitness levels!
i admit that it was my fault for not changing weight for the silly blue shirt
but honestly i should never be a green shirt either - so if i hadn't done the second ride calming down , my fitness would have been even higher !?
i still think watts are playing up - i was getting more going along flat than i used to going up hills just doesnt seem the same as it used to

I only did a few of the top 100, mostly shorter ones when I didn't have anything else planned. I don't recall going full tilt on any of them, so they're not good benchmarks for me.

I figure the goats, moose, handicap and basic training rides will keep me busy through the winter. If I add anything it'd likely be the chaingang league.

I always thought that only rides over 30 mins counted towards that stuff. Strange and slightly annoying all in one!

@JLaw Sorry, I saw your name on the league front and thought your were one of the admins .

I have since found a list. @BILL S @LBHIFI and @Rob_H (if you are the one on the list) and @cathrine brandt. To you all, is there going to be a repeat this year? Please.
