I'm looking for a stand to put my laptop on to get it a bit closer than it is in my current setup. Preferably something that will fold away when not needed, and isn't too expensive! Has anyone got any recommendations? I am looking at something like this - £20ish on ebay - but any other suggestions gratefully received:

Did you notice how the SIM behaved very differently for us during incline changes? I'd seem to ease into a climb more gently but then slow way down and then for the downhills I'd seem to pick up momentum very quickly and make up ground quickly again. I know I'm heavier but I'd noticed that with other similar weighted riders too.

I did notice that Rick. I though it was possibly to do with how we power into the hills. I have tried just about every variation recently after the dead stops began looking for the most efficient way. On one transition where I was looking to see if the dead stops had changed I gave it the max at the transition and stopped dead while you shot up the hill and I ended up about 10 seconds back. I'm pretty sure that happened just because I gave it too much watts at the actual transition instead of powering off as I usually do these days. Regarding our weights I'm 78kg so caught up on you a bit over the past 6 months or so, so probably not the weight that's causing it.

The point at which you could feel the draft kick in seems to be closer that before. It was variable before, several bike lengths, now it appears to be only 2 or maybe 3

Totally agree TB. This is what I was thinking while drafting last night. It seemed harder to stay in the draft as the drafting distance was shorter. definitely didn't feel to me like the drafting effect was any greater.

That sounds better. Once there was it easier to stay in the draft rather than overshoot? My experience of drafting in another well known cycling sim is that it is easier to stay in the draft, much easier.

Just like to say thanks guys for the posts last night to help me get up & running , really enjoyed it just a shame I couldn't see you all ( think I had solo
Mode ticked ) & couldn't seem to change it during the race , think it's sorted now though , are there any other CC leagues that I should be joining ?

Thanks again Darren

There is the goats, moose, handicap and chaingang leagues organised from this forum. There are many others, it depends on how much riding/racing you want. Bear in mind if you want to get quicker, you need to have rest days to recover. Unless you're 20 years old, and by rights should thrash us all everyday of the week.

Tiny I dont see your ride in the league, did you save it at the end? I thought you had been accepted into the league by Bill or Rick

What is your Bkool username?

Just upgraded on Android. How do you scroll through live events? Can't seem to do it with a mouse or remote.

If using a tablet or phone, just push the screen around with your finger, just done it on my Android phone. scroll to live tab and push sideways to see a further 4 live events. 'refresh' icon is in the top right of the screen

Scroll down - either with the wheel on your mouse, or by clicking the little box at the bottom of the screen - to have more live sessions to look at. Apart from that, use the search option at the top

I am not sure about groups, a la the quickies. But coming up to a solo rider that you want to draft with, that is not totally know to you, is about the same. Not enough power and you can't get it or just too much and you almost go sailing by.

You need to power upto the rider but stop the power just before the draft kicks in. Once there I felt it was easier to maintain. But I have the issue of lugging a large (but slowly shrinking) lump of lard around that when it goes downhill I speed up, even @-0.1%, so I have a constant fight to not over power on the downhill and not enough power to maintain the draft on the uphill.

Definitely getting itchy feet now and can't wait to get back in the saddle.
I will use my jet lag day to run updates and perhaps do a shortish power based league ride like a quick goats, if there are any quick goats, before I try anything more fitness based like a live league re-run.

How do you get to see the different leagues in the bkool app? It only allows me to see 6 different ones at a time! Enjoyed the 10 mile tt (sadly on my own this afternoon!) especially without too many hills, fat piggy's like myself don't enjoy them!
