how about 1 week 7 , 1 week 8 ? would that work ?

That is a good idea, but may confuse people!

Could do a 7 start for those who can make it and a rerun at 8?

The Handicap chases, especially the Team ones that are popular, depend on getting enough runners at the same time, so splitting the run would be a big problem. A few people chasing ghosts to post a time after the ride is not the end of the world, but the format really depends on getting 16-20 riders all out at the same time.

As one of the slow, in the various leagues, I can struggle on some of the longer stages to finish and be off the bike by 9pm
I choose rides with this in mind, trying to get the slowest riders below the hour mark, and if possible nearer 40 minutes. Too short though, and the fastest riders barely get going, so the 45-55 minute range is ideal. I don't think may would like a chase that took hours to close up!

I also start the warm-up at 7:50, which saves 10 minutes!

The limitation is mine. :mrpig: is just not quick or light enough .

Always worth trying clicking the cross above your Avatar and logging in again from scratch using the New User (and remember password option).

Geoff

Thanks Geoff I'll try that as well then to see if I can get it to work , strange last week I was using it I just clicked on the BKool indoor icon & it opened it up automatically for me , Now it's asking for a password I put that in & hit enter or click on my avatar & nothing happens whatsoever the page just stays the same , though if I go to the BKool website & log in with the same password / username it opens in an instant , something that I've clicked on or done I guess but will hopefully get it sorted

Thanks again for the advice

Tonight's Chaingang race is Terrades. 7pm warmup. Search the Live races using the filter.

Quite a few already done it and we have a time of 49.04 from Bridgy to beat. ;)

Yes, Bridgy has, 285w normalised suggesting perhaps not really pushing it and /or a fair bit is downhill. Knowing him he was giving it his all. I hate the downhills!

I wasn't giving it my all - sorry!

I did a recce of the course last night but wasn't up for a full on effort so took it reasonably easy.

I'll warn you - I think it's going to be a brutal course! Lots of incline changes in the first half on the way up which destroy any rhythm you might try and get into, followed by mostly downhill but not long steep sections wher you can get a proper rest. There's also a horrible dead stop at about halfway - you'll see it coming a mile off on the course profile - a steep downhill straight into a steep uphill! I knew it was coming and I still nearly lost my chain rapidly changing gear.

Should be fun - hopefully see you all on there later if I get back from a work trip in time....:okay:

I've just completed the Terrades route...

Awful, hated it... no part of it was fun... a couple of nasty little climbs as well and all in the wrong place... up n down like a brides nighty...

Best of luck this evening... I'll drop in to support...

Can you save my ride please?

Ta
