The problem is I have never really suffered when it is cold. I spent the first 5 years after school working as a butcher. In and out of fridges and freezers all day immunises the body against cold. I then spent about 5 years doing various year round outdoor jobs before ending up where I am.

The current temps around London are more like t-shirt weather than scarf and bobble hat to me :sun:

Me too. I work outdoors and have done for 35 years.. I fancied a challenge and moved to outdoors Scottish style... anything above zero degrees is t-shirt weather up here...

Aren't you doing the London to Brighton run amorra?

Get well soon..

I am off to pootle on zwift. Let us know what time you are likley to do 1st stage and i may join.
I'm home from work early and so I think I'll do a ride soon 5.30ish - get it out of the way so I can enjoy a Friday beer!

Not decided yet whether to have a full on go at mountain goats stage 1 or just a bkool pootle!

I was perusing the Goats League, but think that might be a leap too far at my early stage of gradual Bkool reintroduction. Twice now I've woken up in the night after my two Bkool sessions with a whopping headache....I fully acknowledge I either need to drink a lot more or sweat a lot less.
Might try a Bkool pootle this evening, build up to the Goats League. But I fully intend to complete them before month end.

This week has been really odd for me. After the excertions and accomplishments of last weekend :wahhey:, I have felt not quite right this week. Sore legs, complaining sinuses and just run down. So I've done no sessions at all and now feel a bit guilty . I had every intention of getting back on the bike tonight and nearly thought that your invite was a good idea .

But now I'm home I feel as rough as the provebial. A nose that's acting like a tap with a dodgy washer, drip, drip, drip. Joints are starting to ache. I'm hoping it is just 24hr bug, but I think it's not .

Lets see what happens. I will probably blow out tonight and see what I feel like tomorrow. :cursing:

I've been off the bike all week, last weekend I did 117 miles of over two days at a good pace and felt OK, but started getting stomach cramps of Tuesday (not related to riding) ended up doubled over yesterday so spent the day in bed, I feel better today but not 100% plus I lost a kg (73kg this morning) so need to catch up on some food. I can't ride outside tomorrow due to having to wait for a delivery so I'm hoping the delivery comes early and I can get on the turbo and ride an outdoors ride in on Sunday, although it's going to be chilly.

Hope you feel better soon, I hate not being able to ride.

I had a go at the mountain goats stage 1 - was going pretty well until it crashed/froze about halfway up. couldn't face starting all over again so joined a velodrome session for half an hour or so instead - strangely your ghost was riding round in there CXRAndy!

I am vaguely contemplating going for a pootle this evening too but haven't eaten yet this evening and may have to save myself for some manly physical activity building Bobinski a new kennel tomorrow as the dozy sod has eaten his other one.

I just completed the 1st stage of the ChainGang league of the month. I could not do it yesterday with the group. Does anyone know why bkool keeps saying that I don't have a coherent weight. The expected value is 0 Kg according to Bkool. But I set it to the right value when I did the first setup.
