Those of you interested in a gentle (leg spinner) organised group ride later.

7 o'clock start
route is - Schoonhoven-Ottoland (don't think I could of found a flatter course).

Pace suggestion 20-22 mph - rotate the front man every 5 mins - I will start the ride @ 7 o'clock, do the warm up + 5 mins, next rider comes through etc...

It will be a bit experimental for a while, so please bear with me. It's my intention that the group all sticks together, so if the pace needs to alter please adjust accordingly.

@bridgy @Add and anyone else that wants too, go for your 1 mile sprint finish.
Thanks - I will aim to be there!

I'll try and stay in the group together, but based on when we did this last time 20mph on the flat was a bit too slow for me - it's damn cold in my conservatory and I need to go at a minimum pace to keep warm! So if I do go a bit faster, just ignore me, or anyone that wants to go a little quicker can join me if they want - I won't be racing or hammering it, just going at a steady rhythm.

But let's see how it goes, as it might feel different to last time and the pace be fine on this course.

Is that the 10 minute warmup to start at 7pm @Monte ?

I tried the Chaingang stage 1 today and legs felt massively better than last time. I was up there leading with about 10 seconds down to Bridy about 1/3 into the race, when the f*:cursing:*n thing froze on me again .

Ah no! I had this happen to me for the first time in ages (if ever?) the other day whilst having a go at the mountain goat stage - I do hope it's not going to become a regular occurrence - not good, I feel your pain

Yes, 10 min warm up, appreciate you won't need the warm up but it just gives everyone a 10 minute buffer to join the ride.
@bridgy - as a handicap, you have to wear full winter clothing

Monte,
I take it the ride is the shorter one?

I went for the longer course - my thinking behind it - I reckon it will take us about 1 hour & 30 minutes which is a reasonable lower zone workout session.

Anything shorter will probably turn into a flat out session - is the course too long ???

People can just stay in the ride for as long as they like and leave early if it suits them?
