Ta to all who have responded on the difficult choice i have to make on whether to make it even harder on myself to keep up with bridgy:wacko:;) and now TT as well as breedon, Bill, AAAC, LBHFI-frigging hell, what an ever-growing list!

Andy, local shop has a kickr I can try out but thanks for the offer. Only one question more for you given you have a bkool unit as well-which is louder/more irritating?

Tonight's Chaingang race is City of Bristol. 28.3km. Looks like some hills there but no idea how punishing they'll be.
7pm warm-up. Start about 7:10. No password.
I can't make tonights Chaingang and not the Saturday rerun either.
Had some spare time this afternoon and thought I would try to get a little closer to you leading guys in stage 1, but the pace you take off with is just insane .
I had to bail after 7 minutes averaging 350 REAL watts :B). I don't think I will be able to do more in these subzero temperatures, so I think I'll try to move the gear to the living room for one last attempt.

I know what you mean Bob  . That list is growing and the most recent offenders are TT & Breedon. If you're about tonight we could try and outsmart them with some drafting.

The Kickr(1) and Bkool pro I would say are roughly equal in noise, bkool whizz v kickr whirring ^_^. Listening to the DCrainmaker video, Kickr version 2 is much quieter.

That looks like an Adski style mountain bike with slicks
:cursing: Just realised I've left the bkool skewer on the other bike which is being serviced :banghead:. I'll have to stick with the gt until I get it back, it's going out on loan anyway .

Gives me a chance to do some setup work before taking it for a proper ride itrw  .

Nice one TB, that looks very nice. I've always liked the look of BMC frames.
This may sound idiotic but I went for the colour .

Nah, really. I was looking for a triple crankset bike, that was reasonable quality, without being horrendously expensive, to me, and the alpenchallenge fitted the bill. Then I found a version in yellow and just had to have it. It's not spec'd up, in fact it a couple of tiers down from where I was looking, but upgrades are relatively cheap when I want them .

:cursing: 'Kin crashes. I think I may be seeing a pattern develop here. When bsim crashes, stops working or freezes. Once closed and reopened the pc tends to crash. Once rebooted, I go to shut down and there are updates ready to be installed. Could the dl of updates, not necessarily bsim updates, be causing the crashes?

I think I'll be booting twice or three times in a row in future just to get the updates out of the way :banghead:
