Are you planning another easy group ride tonight @Monte ?
Some of you may recall I spent 5 days cycling in Northern France in the summer. The plan was to go to the Cantal mountains, Pyrenes or provence/Ventou but my work colleagues were wary of fitness and ability to ride up mountains. We went with http://www.lavieenvelo.com/index.php which meant bikes transferred in a mini bus along with us. If we had flown to the Cantals etc, Angus would have met us having brought the bikes out.
Anyway, there was tentative interest here when i mentioned the trip and some of you said you just might be interested in a mountain goat trip in the future. So, I am just seeing if anyone might be interested in a 5-6 day trip, last week of june, first 3 weeks of july. I know how difficult it is to juggle money, family, work and holidays, not least one that will take us away from loved ones on what is often seen as a "jolly" when we now it will be relentless suffering and pain medicated occasionally by a little medicinal alcohol...but if anyone interested and likely to be able to go then let me know so i can gauge numbers.
I recall being quite envious at the time!
It sounds amazing Bob. I'm not sure I'd get away with it though at the moment. The missus is struggling with a family illness so I'm not sure it's a very good time to tell her I'm planning a road trip with the boys. In fact it'd go down like a lead balloon thinking about it! When would you want to know roughly bud?
I've just done a ride using the hrm for the first time. TB it worked perfectly and I far prefer it to the chest strap. Thanks again amigo.
My average bpm was 155 I think. Is that high? I know it's not a straight forward answer.
Also I have a garmin hrm I don't need. I couldn't get it working on bkool but have used it in the real world. Don't know if the battery went or I'm just a plank. Either way does anyone want it? I'm happy to give it to someone who uses that type of strap. At worst you can change the battery right?

What time are you thinking? I'm happy to ride with you at your pace@bridgy - unfortunately due to the technical issues I had on Saturday I need to do the chain gang ride this evening. I would love some company if anyone else needs to complete the ride.
What would the cost be?Some of you may recall I spent 5 days cycling in Northern France in the summer.
