Please note I've waited 11 years to sort out my garage, and yes I am showing off...

It took 4 days to sort out, paint walls, ceilings & floors but I have a very clean garage.

That is ambience doping right there !

I am in the basement with the bike squeezed in between stored boxes and whatnot using an old ironing board to put my laptop on. No wonder my performance isn't better. It has nothing to do with age or weight. ... it has everything to with feng shui.

PS: For non-drama effect. That is only half the basement and half the truth. In front of the bike is a space with a TV set, playstation and a sofa. I just need a lot of excuses.

Flippin eck @rob01792 , that was hard. Your ghost would not lie down and die! I went off a bit too hard trying to keep up with Perky and I was blown out by half way, when your ghost caught me. Then I fought the whole second half trying to hold you off. Painful. But a big :okay: for your ride :notworthy:

Well, I need the excuses. Can't believe have fast everyone went on the West Lothian "trip". I felt dead and had nothing.

On a more serious note ... I lost weight since starting with Bkool 2 years ago. Yet, my speed uphill has gone down even if my fitness has gone up ... a lot (the real ftiness and not the Bkool fitness level). Bsim has evolved and all but when I hit, eg, a 10% climb I drop to 7km/h and used to be 9-11km/h.

I read the discussions about indoor vs outdoor tyres and thought maybe that had something to do with it. Still, my experience is that outdoor tyres get chewed up very fast and hence I have used indoor tyres except for the first 3 weeks I had Bkool ... + one week where I waited for delivery of new indoor tyres. I do not feel like indoor tyres spin unless I stand. Continental indoors especially have good grip but I use different ones as well.

I never do alpine anymore for that reason. It just makes no sense and I can't figure out the issue except maybe Bsim used to over-estimate my speed going uphill.

I have done 7-8000km on my bkool. Not sure if cleaning it has anything to do with what I experience. I do not know how to clean it other than vacuum clean to the best of my abilities.

There was a firmware fix a few months ago that corrected the adjusted uphill speeds for the larger lads - anything over 9% and I used to do over 10kph uphill too but now it's more realistic. They fixed the see-saw bug too, at least on the Pros although the older turbos still have the bug.

So according to a power meter Bkool is accurate on big climbs!??! Honestly would have thought it over estimates on all climbs and flats. Maybe each machine is behaving in a slightly different manner. Will be getting a power meter within the month so cant wait to actually find out what my real watts are.
It varies but generally Bkool is accurate on +10% but -30 wattt on 5%.

Would completely agree, feels far more realistic these days.

Hi Stuart. I just saw Geoff's response so looked for your ride under rides to be validated and there's no sign of it. If you know your time and you can put in a short (20 seconds is enough) league ride of the same and save it I can make the time up to match your actual time. Just let me know on here what the time should be and when you've done the dummy run.
Thanks Bill will give it a go fingers crossed.

That would explain it. Thanks !

The days of "flying" up the Alpe are officially over ...

All these posh gets with garages bigger than a car with lights and lecy,
I dream of such luxury.
But I do have a 12x12 room to do my turbo training in because I can't use the loft because that's my bedroom.
After Christmas I am going to treat myself to a light, some floor boards and stairs, luxury (260 of us.....)
