I tryed twice yesterday 1st time at 5pm wanted to do the goat ride after work no joy just that spinning wheel.

You're right that changes to the Sim do make a difference too. That change in the firmware that got rid of the big slingshots up hills definitley benefited me compared to Bill for example. Partly because he was the master of making the most of them, and partly because other changes suited my riding style more than his.

You're not wrong there Paul. I and LB got pretty darned good at making the most of those sling shots, probably even to the point of subconscious fine tuning. The FW change was therefore quite devastating because now it's far more about brute power and endurance. For the likes of last nights handicap race I was over three minutes down on my pre FW change time and there was no way I was trying any less hard.
What I really need is some weight loss but that's a struggle as I do like my cakes and chocolate and spend far too much time :hungry:.

@Gregory_ca I worked out your time (41:46) from the recordings, when you crossed the line and how far before Bridgy you had started.

If you fire up the simulator again, it will often try and upload any timed out sessions it failed to upload previously.
This is what I did but was keeping failing. I don't think I will be able to recover it.

I am as surprised as anyone Bill. You were miles ahead of me but we've sort of met in the middle the last few weeks. Going back to matters BKOOL, it's the likes of you chasing me down in the handicap races that have always pushed me on. Until we can create something similar on zwift it'll be a real wrench for me to leave.

Well I plan on staying on your tail if possible and not let you do to me as Bridgy has done recently (ability to overtake at will and make it stick). I also hope to use your presence to my advantage if possible as I'm not adverse to a bit of drafting now and again. I think you, me, Bob and Perky could cause the bigger boys a problem if we got a good draft going.
I was also considering a move to Zwift recently but never got round to it for the same reasons as yours. I've even got used to the new software (almost).

Sounds good to me! It seems like there's nothing between us at the moment.

Maybe the London chapter of the cyclechat club should be thinking about the odd real life ride? Could be good fun.
And stop for some apples and pears and jellied eels at the end of it or whatever else it is you posh southerners do.

??..????.?.?????
:scratch::unsure:
@theboxers,
There was a denigrating reference recently to lefty southern metropolitan types being identified by their drinking, flat whites i think, at Costa's. It seemed somewhat wide of the mark given that those of us who fall into that category are more much more likely to drink our coffee at an Independant coffee outlet. Well that's me outed anyway;)

I did have a decent flat white in a costas in Sidcup yesterday:okay:
