You kept me pushing to the line ... I thought you had got me, but the down hill to the line saved meOhh look at my time to say i had to start from the beginning.
Didn't start well from the off, timer went to zero started to peddle but i wasn't going anywhere, i was 6 seconds down before I moved, @bobinski what happened to you we went round a corner at 12% then you fell back like a stone after that my watts was saying 333 even if i slowed down so i stopped the "do you want to quit session" box popped up and i clicked on yes by mistake.
So had to restart grrrrr.
Chasing down Whorty got to 11 seconds until the down hill section near the end.
I had a bit of a rush of blood to the head off the line ... went off like I'd stole it and chased after @BILL S . What a stupid thing to doI paid for that foolishness later in the ride

I do enjoy a chase down its seeing the seconds come down a little at a time makes me push harder, if it wasn't for that down hill it would of been extremely close maybe a second either way.You kept me pushing to the line ... I thought you had got me, but the down hill to the line saved meIf you hadn't been chasing me down I may have taken the last 3 km a bit easier as I was shot. Couldn't let you bomb past me twice in one ride

Cheers BobI had decided not to chase bill, he is too strong for me, but to ride at my own pace and try and keep it between 280 and 330w. I just wanted a decent ride after all the problems I have had recently so glad to get one under my belt. You ride well whorty! You are clearly getting power and marrying it up with improved stamina. Well done!
anything but down and you would have had me .. i had enough left in the tank to power into the down and then let gravity take over. Not sure if my time is good enough to hold @Monte off thoughI do enjoy a chase down its seeing the seconds come down a little at a time makes me push harder, if it wasn't for that down hill it would of been extremely close maybe a second either way.

In a backwards world where the more watts/kg you make the slower you go perhaps.

Be interesting to see what tactic you go for. I shot off fast and tried to hold the power but suffered towards the end. there are some 'flatter' sections of 3-5% which sap my power, and some longer 10-14% sections that support a good steady cadence. Good luck. Only 1min 50 secs between us ... so push hardTimes look good @Whorty. I've been busy working on house DIY this weekend, hopefully I will get on he bkool tomorrow evening.
Whorty. When I saw there was a slight downhill beginning I decided on a chaingang style start to see if it meant that you'd have to catch up and hopefully be a bit more tired than you were last week. just got Grindelwald Interlaken to do tomorrow evening, really am not looking forward to that down hill section.
May have to go balls deep at the start and rest on the down hill, no way can i get the watts down to turn them blue numbers white
I must have been reading your mind as I expected you to go off fast. I thought if I could reach you I might be able to hang on for a bit. Had the incline been 8% plus it may have worked for a few km but as soon as we hit the 5% section my watts drop through the floor. Got me a big start though and will give Monte a conundrum :-D Does he chase off the blocks, or hope I faded and try to real me in later?Whorty. When I saw there was a slight downhill beginning I decided on a chaingang style start to see if it meant that you'd have to catch up and hopefully be a bit more tired than you were last week. I would normally not try such a thingbut last week you gave me such a hard time that today I was just thinking in terms of what would be easiest for me. It seemed to work though because by the time you caught up I think you were too tired to put up such a fight. I'm guessing by what you said that you'd do a lot better catching me up more slowly.
When I saw AAAC start about 10 minutes or so behind I pretty much knew that it would be folly to try and beat him on the road so I just went at my own pace. Hopefully it worked out as a bit of a recovery ride after last nights chaingang.
