My brain hurts now

Thanks Geoff - I think I understand the basic gist of what you're saying and it's what I thought - they can claim it can simulate 20% for any weight but it's a meaningless claim not relevant to the real world, as the speed would have to be stupidly low for a rider over a certain weight. Hence other manufacturers clarifying their max gradient claim as based on a certain rider weight and speed. And in the real world we're finding that we max out at between 6-10% gradient depending on rider weight. Which ironically, despite their claims, is proved by the blue numbers thing Bkool themselves have built into the simulator!

I'm still Team Rick!
I max out about 10% too, which is probably why I can more easily grind up the steep hills, but struggle on gradients fro 5 to 7 %

thinking about it we could have back up members for specific courses, Perky, Breedon, Berty are stronger on climbs, than me and would say Tommy, so we could be domestique riders burying ourselves for an early tow then pulling off? Ssssh Geoff its our little secret on tactics

Sounds good to me:okay:
We could then return duties on the flats, burying ourselves in a sprint train - but your final sprint may have to be half the course:whistle:

I thought you might have puked given your warning post TT. We have all been there! I had eaten curry, rice and dahl and 2 slices of lemon tart, but at 5-30 so whilst it sat a little heavily in my stomach and prompted the odd burp there was never any risk of reaching for a bin! But it did make it a little harder to get in the drops for the descents:rolleyes:
I enjoyed our tustle and did slow a few times for you to latch on so we could draft but once i knew you were not at your recent best i had to plough on. I slowed, almost to a pootle at one point, in the final half though and could have done with you chasing or more likely me chasing to get a better time.

Yeah I couldn't get a rythem going for some reason. The problems with the fan didn't help early doors but I was finding it hard to get going. I think subconsciously I've put a higher expectation on where I think I should be but I think I need to revert back to concentrating on my own form, pacing myself and letting the result take care of its self.

What happened with the kickr Bob? Waiting for a better deal?

I don't play tha game, that would be stupid. i just look after the grass...
Not Our new president's I hope. I saw this on the mud line of a website. It said after the election that to enter a cafe in England, Americans must be accompanied by an adult. I hope one of you can vouch for me at the double devil.

That sounds like a good plan.

I have ordered a neo in the Black Friday sales. Cheaper than Kickr. I have to wait for it to come into stock. I just hope Amazon don't cancel the order.

Alas, I cannot call him my boss. I'd have updated my LinkedIn straight away if I'd been in charge of his thatch... :o)
