I beg to differ. I can ditch riders in a race situation by cutting corners effectively (Conti GP 4000 S does really great in that discipline) . Admitted, it does not happen often because almost everyone racing in cat A,B,C and even D know the importance of tire choice.

Isn't 'cutting the corners' classed as cheating in Denmark then?

DPig. Weight loss is simple. Lots of cycling eat a little less. Long rides burn lots of calories.

Eat less of what?
High Protein diets drive you to eat more but that statement is not universally correct.

Yes, but on a turbo you are only turning a roller on a consistent surface, no bumps, no road holding challenges, braking characteristics etc.

I don't disagree that a good tyre on a real road can make a big difference but on a turbo I don't understand why it should make SO much difference.

It's OK as it's showing in my tab.
Def not showing in mine. Strange. In the simulator I see the ride I have set up, but as I can't see it in her I can add, remove ghosts etc. frustrating! Hey ho.

Btw, I understand AAAC 76C's comment that it wasn't just tyre but also tyre pressure and the pressure thing I do understand more.
I believe that there are several areas that need to be considered.
The friction should be just right to ensure there is no slippage of the tyre.
You also need to consider: The amount of force being applied, generally considered to be rider weight and acceleration applied (not power) and a variable coefficient of friction being the 'grip' between the tyre and the trainer which is therefore variable due to different rubber composition and and the amount of tyre in contact with the trainer.
Of course a larger surface can slow you down, hence ensuring correct tyre pressure is essential.

What I'm saying is what is right for one rider weight is not necessarily the same as for another.

Did you go to your home page first.
I have my Home and the Leagues as a bookmark.
If I click on the Leagues without logging in I get the broken chainset thing.
If I log in to my Home page and then close the tab and go off doing something else and then click on the Leagues Tab I don't get any leagues but I don't get the broken chainset thing.
Go home and then clock Leagues and hey presto the Leagues are there.

Damn AAAC, don't make me work overtime on a friday night ^_^. I hope you know what I mean.

I knew what you meant at the get go LB.
I just like teasing you because it annoys me (in a jealous way) that you can communicate in another tongue so well when us Brits struggle to speak our own language let alone another.
I can also struggle in French and German but they are the major source of our language anyway.
Having three genders to choose from for the 3rd person and objects does confuse me though but I love the logic of the German tongue and the way they make Nouns from words that describe what they are all be it the words are long.
For example:
Estate Car = Grosserwagenmitbagsofroomfurrompingin.
Edit: If you get that LB it will make me even more jealous

You can keep your role models, Wiggins Etc, I'll stick with mine- I just need to put on 12 more pounds and develop 450 more watts to emulate him.
Jacob Skovsgaard !!

I've never met Jacob and I probably don't want to!
100 kg at a sustained 400 W plus would probably knock me into next year and my bike too.
That all said he is probably a great Dane, who are in deed generally gentle giants all be it a bit slobbery, and is no doubt as nicer chap as our own resident Dane, LB.
Being British though we are all probably harder than anyone else in the world.
This is however a myth which I found out one night in a night club in southern Germany frequented by the local American Marines unit.
One of the largest of which did not appreciate my drunken English wit.
I may have mentioned that it was rumoured that the American Forces would get a medal simply flying over Northern Island.
Luckily I landed on a friend and not the floor and the offended individual just turned around and carried on with evening as if he had just swatted a fly.
I decided that the best course of action was avoidance rather than apology.

That's good because we here are Cycle Chat are masters of 'la critique constructive'
Or is that 'le' but I know it's not 'les'
It's 'la', it looked and felt like a 'la' word.
German 'konstruktive Kritik' and also a 'la' word all be it 'die' in Deutsch.
Danish is 'konstruktiv kritik' perhaps I can speak Danish and just didn't know it.
Norwegian 'konstruktiv kritikk' begger I am a master of that as well.
Now to learn how to buy a bottle of red wine instead of handing out good advice!

Edit: Not as straight forward as good advice!

Edit/Edit: I got it, we Brits invented good advice and the rest of Europe copied us.
Typical, get your own words Europe because we wan't out (apparently).
